Sive shook himself, as if shaking away the image. The girl was whimpering, her eyes wide. Andlarta gave her an inquisitive eye. What do you want me to do with her? she asked. I don't know... I don't want to kill her, but I know I can't save her. Then leave her. She'll do nothing but burden us. I can't. Can you carry two? Sive askes. He knows that she could carry a lot more than two. Her strength is like the ratio of a shade to a human. Hers is that to a dragon. "Come with me... It'll be okay..." he says to her, sheathing his sword. The girl tried to get away, but Sive whispered a quick spell. The young woman fell asleep. He easily lifted her onto Andlarta. "Lets go..."
He spoke quickly to the general again. Quickly locating Terek and Aura he lands. Terek looks at him. "Who's that?" he asked. "None of your buisness," Sive growls. Tereks falls silent, watching as Sive starts to heal her wounds. It takes only a few minutes. Her brow eases as Sive mends her broken bones. Why are you doing this? She's not Maven, Sive. You gave that woman up long ago. She died for you yes, but that makes no difference. She was your partner when you were a weak human. Forget her. You've heald this girl, she'll live, fine, now leave her, Andlarta says, her irriation showing. It uneases her. Sive's changing and because of the mental link between them, she's changing. Fine. Sive sighs as he lays her down under a tree. "Terek, you should report back to Galbatrox. Notify him on the past few events. I'll be off." Sive looks at the boy before jumping onto Andlarta and taking to teh sky. The less time he stayed the better. He didn't like what had happened either. He should've killed her. No survivors, but he didn't.
Arya wants to follow, but she knows that Hailut is right about getting rest. She decides that she's too tired to go to sleep back at their tent. Leithan lays down, making room and shelter with his wings. Arya is quickly into dreamland.

Terek sighed, when did he get a bit of free time. Aura shook her head, noticing his irritation. Come we have to go. She said, then looked at the girl that Sive healed. Don't you think it's strange? huh? What? Terek was almost falling a sleep, he couldn't do very long without a good rest. The girl? Sive healed her, I thought that Shades didn't have a heart. Terek sighed again, he walked over to Aura and climbed on her back. Don't believe everything you hear around. He lay down in the sadle and closed his eyes. Can you fly slow? He whispered.

Horrion flapped madly as he was forced into a quick headwind. But he was a bit too strong for the wind and after a bit of adjustments to the wind barriors they were flying smoothly and much faster. Both being dragined slowly by the magical walls that pushed them foward. We should be there within an hour. Should take no longer then midnight. I can already smell the cloud of decaying flesh, And a hint of the dark presence. This will be very interresting. Horrion smiled and coughed a bit of smoke. I hate being ill... Hailut looked down to see they made it a good distance. The way up was full of head wind with a light tailwind but now it was mostly tailwind followed by a bit of headwind. Should have no difficulty. Something did bother him though, Many wetspots were scattered through the deserts. Like the one they had landed in. It could of been a traveler byt now there looked like to be a line of them heading around the desert towards the east Beors... Very strange but it was nothing but travelers... What do you make of those? Hailut had to ask... Looks like nothing but a few travelers or maybe some good magicians are escaping the empire before being bound to it.. We can only wait for the truth to reveal itself... Horrion's mind grew a bit dazed. I need to rest my mind... With that Horrion's mind slipped into unconsiousness, Hailut traded minds with him and soon he felt himself flapping and flying while himself sat upon his back. It is odd to explain but they were almost one.

(sry bout the present tense. Tired. I didn't realize it until now. The first part was supposed to be in present tense, the rest in 3rd past... ><)
It took almost an hour for Arya to fall asleep. She woke early that morning. Leithan was already up and finishing a small meal. Arya ate quickly and packed. She left not with what had happened and that she was going to investigate. She also left word for Horrion and Hailut's sudden disapperance, as a lot of the elves were unnerved and frantic about it. Many still didn't trust him. With him leaving immeditally and without reporting it, they assumed the worst. Arya reassured them that nothing was wrong, and went on her way. They felt refreshed and ready. It'd be a long flight.
Sive took a short nap, eyes closed, mind outstreched, taking in the surroundings. He never really needed much sleep; an hour here, and hour there and that was equvilent to a full night's rest. The same rule applied to eating and drinking, especially after he had absorbed all the emotions of battle. Despite this ability, he still needed to eat. They stopped very quickly so that Andlarta and he could catch a meal. You've been silent... Andlarta commented as he walked up to the dead dear. So? Just commenting... Andlarta replied smugly. There's a band of travelers. We could have some fun... Sive smiled, his red eyes flashing malicously. "That sounds...enteraining."
They spent only a half an hour at most on the ground. The winds were getting a little stronger. A storm perhaps was building in the mountains. Do you sense that? Sive hissed. They both did. It felt like on mass of magical presense that was moving a lot faster than a horse. Must be flying. And it was two beings with a strong mental link. A dragon and a rider. Yes. What should we do? Andlarta said, running her toungue over her razor teeth. I don't know which rider. From what I get, they're old. It's not that young rider nor is it that Eragon pair. We'll be ready. Sive felt refreshed. He felt his heart race in his eagerness for a fight. But the use of caution would be good. He had a feeling that they knew about him. Sive and Andlarta had tracked their movements. They were making a direct b-line towards their position. Sive was a master of spells and combat. He would not be defeated easily. Besides, he'd been given fatal blows many times, but he still lived. The heart was a small target and he had a secret that he had discovered many years ago. And with Andlarta being made of the same dark magic, the same rules applied...

Horrion woke up in Hailuts body and nearly fell off, Then shook wildly. They exchanged their minds to eachother and Hailut was back to himself. Lucky I have a less strong nose... The dead are soon to be upon us... I fear for the worst... He began to weave his magical barrier ward as they drew in closer. Horrion stayed in his mind knowing everysingle word he would have to say. It was a long and difficult spell, it was objective to all magics and all forms of those magics and the smaller simpler and more complex forms of those magics that would protect them for a second before draining from the caster, then came to the part of the activation and deactivation of the ward. Within the hour they finished and soon were sweeping across the batttlefield. The stench of the dead clouded the sky and the carrion that were upon the ground pecked and prodded at the dead. Hailut looked to the dead emotionless. There is much energy still remaining... Go low... Horrion flew down and then landed. All around them were the dead and the stench was unbearable. Hailut sat upon a small rock and meditated his mind reaching to all the small amounts of energy and then drawing them all in. The dead would need no use of this energy and he put it into his blade and fueled him and Horrion. Though their stomachs still were empty from the long flight... Hailut opened his satchel and ate a few peices of bread and vegitation that he took from the elves. Horrion rose his neck high and saw a dark figure on the horizon. Hailut! With his strong eyes he focused upon them. Hailut jumped to Horrion and got on. Horrion took immediate flight into the air. Demon-dragon! Shade-spawned demon of the fowl underworlds! Horrion flew nearly straight up where he would have the advantage, soon Andlarta was upon them and hit horrion's broad side. Sive smiled devishly. Horrion dove then took back into the sky still trying to go higher. Hailut took energy from the dead below and healed Horrion and then got off the saddle and walked along his back and sat upon the tail drawing his blade. Horrion evened out and they looked for the two of them. They never faced one of these demonic creatures nor have they ever faced a shade. It would be hopefully a learning experience and hopefully won't get them killed. A screetch came from the right and slammed into Horrion's head hard, a peck was jabbed into his upper thigh and Horrion fell unconsious. Hailut gripped tight of Horrion and entered his mind. Fowl creature! Horrion wake! Horrions mind was dazed and Hailut knew what he needed to do. He flew in Horrion's body and began to try to control both himself and Horrion. Andlarta came again from the other side and with a quick barrel roll they avoided another hit. Hailut spoke and Horrion's side healed. Andlarta dove down then came beneath them. Hailut used no wings as he dove down and then hit Andlarta with Horrion's back nearly impaling the shade. He heard them hiss and their mental contact was as strong as theirs. But there would be no point in this air duel without both their minds working. Hailut aimed Horrion to the outpost which lay seiged upon the hill. There were still platoons of humans there and hopefully they could make use of the denser forests and rocks to their advantage. Already they took too much just trying to be avoid getting hit. The shade just seemed to let Andlarta do the work. He seemed mused by their dumb reactions and then Hailut dove and landed within the thicket of trees. The shade might use magic here and it was the perfect place to blend themselves in. It would be a haven for at least the moment.

Andlarta hovered for a moment. It could be a trap, but every moment we wait, they could use that to regroup... she said. I know. Wait, I have other methods... Sive looked at the massacured dead, feeling not even the twinge of guilt or remorse for their deaths. He looked a their scattered bodies. He muttered snapping spells. Immeditally Andlarta joined him, their power together. She gave a hiss, feeling the spirits' magic as they funneled it into the dead. Animation spells were hard, but Sive was a practiced. Rows and rows started to shift and stand. The spell would last only as long as he needed it. It took no concentration or draining from him once it was done. They'd get the energy that they needed from the earth. It was a devastating spell, killing the grass and shrubs they walked on. Sive could care less. He could either stop them with a word, or they'd overuse the magic in the soil and dye. For this many, it'd only last about forty minutes, max. But that'd be plenty of time. More stood, grabbing their weapond and running into the forestst. Sive and Andlarta circled, their minds searching. Sive drew his black rider's blade. He stood where he was, a malicous smirk on his face. He'd kill this rider and dragon just as he'd done to hundreds of others. As he said before, he'd seen the rise and fall of empires, including the Fall of the riders. He'd been an avid participant...
Arya and Leithan struggled against the wind, even with their spells. They were a ways off, but with the wind, they coudl smell the stench of battle. It carried for miles like a foul smoke. We need to hurry. Hailut and Horrion could be in danger! Arya urged, sensing Sive and Andlarta's presense.
Andlarta landed, as the reanimated dead streamed past them into the trees. She was quicker than a dragon on land as well, with longer legs, built for running and a slim and streamline body. Her toungue flicked out. Sive breathed in. They servayed the area, sharing information. Grasping Sive twirled his blade, making a whistling sound. The undead would help, as they would move as if they were alive, even with missing parts, but he had no doubt that Horrion and Hailut could hold them at bay, for a while. Numbers made a difference.

Horrion's mind seemed a dimp light inside his own. He withdrew from Horrion and stood up in his body letting Horrions slump down. It had been once before he had found the blade's true name. He uncovered his right hand and drew it, The cold ice of the blade shot through his arm and into his body. The power of the blade from the immense amount of time he had drew it in from the forests and dead he had killed made the blade powerful. Many magicians have died from his ward and was all fed into this blade. Now he heard the trees cry in shock as they screamed of the dead moving. Their wonds fell silent as their energy died out. With Horrion out there was no time to act. Hailut waited and shot out many barriers usuing the dead tree's roots to funnel the dead into a single part. He made the circle to once enterence and thne sat upon the ground. He knew once whispered the sword would do its work. Such a devistating work. The dead drew near to him and then several rushed. He slased his sword slicing them in half easily. Using a bit of energy he made the blade move powerful and sharper. It was like melting butter with a dragon's fire. Not very hard and clearly a bit too much. But the energy needed to cancel their spell was carefully worded to use their own to fuel it. The dead began to open the gap wider and wider as many funneled in. He could not keep them all at bay. It would be too much soon. But he needed to wait until Sive fell into his trap. The last time he had used the sword was the time of the Forsworn's attack that made him flee. He remembered it like it was happening now.
They rested in the meadow and learned a bit from Alvashar. Their healing techniques increased greatly. A shadow shot across the ground as the slim green one flew past them then dove. Horrion was still young back then, only a year and this dragon was so much larger and stronger. They had to flee. Alvashar sent out a spell to hold the dragon and regretfully he had to drain most of the field to hold the dragon down for at least the minute as Horrion gained speed and altitude. Alvashar fell, they could have sworn he had died but they were too frightened. They were as they saw the very last riders that roamed free. How they both regreted flying out from the wards that protected the Forests. But now that was no time for regret. The rider behind them flew at them keeping an even pace. Horrion soon fell from the sky exsausted and hit the ground hard. He had barely been able to stand as the rider approached to kill him. He took his blade and slashed at him hitting him once. But he had no energy and then he stuck his sword into the ground. His fear made him suddenly use the magic from his sword. He knew the word he shouted stood for dream. This was no dream but a nightmare but he had screamed it and shot his sword into the ground. The undiscribable light that shot out enveloped them all and left the ground they both landed in a patch of decay and death. But inside that was his sword shinning brightly. Hailut stood without pain. His wounds broke back into place and he realized that the sword granted him just that. A dream... The Forsworn stood there screaming as the dream for Hailut turned to a nightmare... The things he had done in that "dream" was such a nightmare. The man and dragon stood no chance as he slaughtered them without regret.
But the following decades he never recovered from using such a massive spell. It had been only the last ten years he had became back to his former self. He had remembered it all well. The dead soon clawed at him as he still slashed but their headless, limbless bodies still moved. It would be an onslaught as the dead still pilled in. He had to do something but would his energy stored be enough to protect him from what had happened before. He did not know and it would stand too great a risk to do so. Little one... Do not. You know that the spell is too strong. You might have recovered but I am still weakened by it still... Horrion stood up. With their minds togeather they weaved an antifire barrier around Hailut and Horrion. Horrion drew in a massive breath and using the swords immense energy blew a fire so strong it was not just blue but more of a bright white. The energy from the bladed was barely faded as Horrion drew another one tf the breaths incinerating the dead and the trees around them. They are closing in... Hailut I cannot fight them... They are too much. Hailut knew this as well... But they would not go down without a fight. The dead quickly kept comming and there was a scratch as the demon spawn shot foward with them as though to try to attack when they least expect it... Hailut looked just as the Demon Spawn closed in on him. Andlarta drew past the now burnt bodies and flew over them and clawed towards Hailut. It was unexpected but Hailut struck at Andlarta's leg whispering the swords name... "Draumr" The spell was a bit modified then the intense one before. It would have its effects upon the demon soon enough... Hailut ran back to Horrion who bit Andlarta's neck and both picked up and threw the demon into a tree. Horrion then scooped up Hailut and bashed his way through the trees and crushed many as he took off through through the thick forest on foot. It was an easy path to follow but heading back into the air was an even worse idea.
Andlarta seemed to coil in pain as the ice cold stab of the blade shot through the veins making it seem like ice shooting into every body part. Soon the ice seemed to fade but still left a sore pain on the arm though where the sword had sliced only dug in about three inches. Nothing serious infact it was barely a cut. But the blade seemed so powerful like it had taken off the entire leg. But then with a bit of waiting the leg was back to normal and Andlarta took Sive upon the shoulders and dashed through the forest after them.
Horrion flapped his wings low as they came out of the forest and across the small plain that lay there. He flew quickly and then with a few breaths of fire light the entire field on fire making it smoke and cloud wildly. It would be a small smoke screen as they used it as cover to gain altitude. Andlarta would soon dash out to see the fire. They shot their walls up and waiten in the cloud of smoke. Hailut used a few tendrils of magic to seperate smoke and ash from the safe clean air. They would breath easy up here as they waited.

Sive swore. He snapped a word, the dead dropping again to join the soil. Seeing the smoke he smiled. They'd be at as much as a disadvantage as Andlarta and he was. Are you hurt? he asked. I'm fine now. That sword. Be careful. It holds great energy. I don't doubt that it's slice could kill, though we are not a dragon and rider... Andlarta glanced at her leg. It was healed and fully functional. She felt her mouth well with venom. No magic could cure a deep bit wound from her. All she needed was to close her jaws on their throats or near a vital area and they were dead. Perhaps not now, but their death's would be terrible in deed. It all depended how close to the heart or brain it was. Sive said a spell in his head, creating gusts of winds in all directions. The smoke wipped around and started to disappate. Andlarta took this moment to lunge into the air. She saw a hazy outline. Giving a bloodcurtling scream she rammed into Horrion full force. Sive, ready for this leapt from her back, his own sword hissing down wards, he sliced through Horrion's right wing. Falling, Andlarta swopped down and picked him up. It was still smoky, and hard to see. The Shadow Rider and Black Dragon, as Hailut had better called them looped above Hailut and Horrion. Andlarta angled herself, posinous mout agape, ready to strike the fatal blow...
Arya saw the fire and sped up. We're coming! she cried out to Horrion and Hailut, but Sive and Andlarta also her her...
Terek and Aura heard the battle, saw the smoke. They'd been heading in the opposite direction, but... While Andlarta and Sive battled Horrion and Hailut, Arya on Leithan and Terek on Aura closed in to assist.

Horrion closed both wings as the membrane flapped wildly as he fell from the sky. Hailut quickly began to heal it as they dropped below. Horrion opened his wings and steadied as he then took a high pitch and slammed into Andlarta From the undercarrage. Hailut gripped onto Andlarta's tail and then jumped from Horrion onto ANdlarta. He wraped his legs around her and then slashed his sword deep into the tail. Andlarta flicked her tail and screeched throwing Hailut well into the air. Horrion disengaged and flew catching Hailut. Hailut climbed back upon Horrion then walked up his neck to the head. He set a ward to keep himself in place and began to say a long quick spell. Andlarta dove ad them and Horrion turned sharply to avoid the hit. The two young ones began to make their way closer and it would soon be over for Andlarta and Sive... Horrion turned sharply just as the ward took effect drawing energy from the raging fire below them. Soon the light warped around them causing them to vanish. The spell stole a large amount of energy from the soil and the fire seemed to cease. Sive cursed darting his eyes everywhere to see where the light was warped. But with his own spell the smoke seemed to blur everything. Andlarta was hit on the side and he saw the clear face of Horrion grasping on. He hit him with his sword directly on the weaker nose. Horrion fell back and the blood fell out in a red trickle. but soon that ended. The fire died out into nothing and with a little sight he saw their spell fading as they faded from being fully seen to invisible. Andlarta dove at them and hit them hard sending a deep jab into Horrion. Hailut slashed all the same cutting Andlarta by the neck. She fell screeching as the energy from the sword shot into her body. But after a few moments it faded as she looped back around. She flew faster to give the final blow. Horrion fell from the sky and flew into the Plateu where maybe they stood their final battle inside the deep crevices of the Plateu. They could make their final stand there....

Aura stopped, suprised by what she saw. We have to help him Terek said nothing for a second. Then, we'll fight the younger one. I think Sive can put down that other rider himself. Aura nodded her big head and turned, flying at fast speed at Arya while Terek got ready to use some spells he did learn.

Leithan growned, tendrils of fire and smoke streaming from his mouth and nose. Arya prepared herself, whispering fast spells. It'd been a long time since she'd fought another rider in such a battle. Enough! She'd forget about what happened last time. She'd forget Horrion and Hailut. They'd just be a distraction. They were older, more experienced, though she hated to admit it. The shadow dragon would crush her and Leithan if she tried to intervein. She saw Terek and Aura. She could still help.
Sive felt so alive, his blood singing. He lived for the blood and lust of battle. Andlarta, we go for the kill. Bite them, it won't matter where. You know what your venom can do... Sive encourage as she angled herself down at Horrion. Sive drew in as much energy around him, killing plants and animals below. He didn't care or feel sorrowful of the loss. Sive stood upon Andlart's back, brandishing his sword. Minor spells kept him steady. It was as if he was "surfing". A cruel smile on his face they dove.

Terek had never fought an other rider, he had never fougth at all. But this time he had to. There was no way back now. He pushed himself up, trying to stand on Aura's back. That was mainly the first thing that Galbatorix had ever learned them. He took the axe hanging at his side, it had been cursed by the drawf that he had stolen it from when he was young. But the curse only made him stronger if he used what his lord had taught him.

(wards, in this sense, are magical spells and barriers that protect someone/something. Basically a type of magical defense. Arya has used spells, creating wards to protect herself and Leithan from Terek and Aura... See now? lol)

(A ward is made to protect from a spell. Such as I can make a ward to protect from fire. Not all fire thats why wards are difficult for they must be explained on how they must be used. A ward incorrectly used could result in disaster for the magician.)
Horrion flew into a trench of the Plateu and then with a little added help from both the sword's energy, their own, and the many jewels they collected they could wait. Hailut began the spell and soon they blened in with the trench. horrion clawed at the side and then hooked himself onto it flattening against the wall. Inside the trench it was far too narrow for Horrion to navigate easily. For the demon it would be of no trouble and this was why they put themselves at such a disadvantage. They hoped the two of them would see their disadvantage and then pounce at it. Hailut pressed himself against Horrion. Andlarta flew into the trench and looked around darting her eyes everywhere. The Trench was a bit darker and their eyes did not see into it as well due to the sun overhead. They flew down a bit where the darkness could devour their sleek dark skin turning them easily invisible. Horrion watched them with his Hailut's eyes. Hailut watched not even blinking his eyes. it would look like they were part of the trench to even an elf's eye. Andlarta passed above them. Hailut whispered a spell and knocked a bit of rock off ahead of them to draw their attention while Horrion unhooked himself. Hailut cracked the rocks to cover their own sounds and then Horrion flapped gaining a bit of height. Hailut looked up, then jumped to the trench's side and began to climb. Horrion became visibile and with a bit of Hailut's warding he projected a shadow clone onto Horrion so to fool them. Horrion Roared then snapped his neck foward biting the tail of Andlarta and then began to fly backwards yanking her out of the air then sending her flying back into the wall of the trench. Sive quickly healed the wounded wings. The tail had several broken bones, deep gashes, and a lot of bleeding. The skin of the demon was like paper compared to his own. His age combined with the wards set in place made him like diamond-scaled.

Andlarta's pain felt like his own. One of the drawbacks... He enter her mind to repair all the major damage. Cursing that one of the wards had failed, he whispered, strengthening the surrounding wards. Usually Andlarta's armor was as hard as any dragon's except at the middle and beginning of her tail and underneath her stomach, so he put extra wards there. Andlarta twisted in a beautiful loop, a manuver that a dragon couldn't do in such a confined space, tackling Horrion from avove. She latched onto one of his legs, her venom injecting straight into his bloodstream. She growled with satisfaction. Too bad she hadn't bitten him closer to the heart. Her venom was the most powerful. It gave a horrible, painful death or ended life quickly. She bit deeper, while Horrion thrashed, injecting another load of venom. Sive laughed. Even in the dim light, his eyes gleamed red. Reaching over he sank his sword into Horrion's flank. Andlarta disengaged, sweeping her wings up shoot thim out of the trench. Sive watched Horrion and Hailut fall back. Excellent. By the amounts of venom that Andlarta had, it should kill them, but probably not right away... it was still dibilitating. Sive laughed. If the venom didn't killed them quickly, he'd offer and ultimatum. The only way to counteract the venom was to take the "anti-venom" that Andlarta had. For a human, it changed the person... for a dragon? He assumed that they'd change in a smiliar way that the humans and other animals did... They hovered there, watching. Sive set heat and aura sensory into his eyes. No invisibility would save them this time... He couldn't help but smile in triumph...

Arya and Leithan watched Horrion drop away. Oh, my gods... she thought. Her heart twisted. What was she going to do now? She saw the demon shadow dragon dart up. She could see Terek and Aura closing in. She was done for... If Horrion couldn't beat the shade and his shadow dragon then she wouldn't stand a chance. But what it Horrion and Hailut weren't dead... She wouldn't go down without a fight...

Horrion's mind filled with pain and though Hailut never liked to do this trick he had to. He put Horrion to sleep and took over shutting off all the nerves. He guied Horrion to the ground and layed him down. Hailut jumped off and quickly began to draw the blood from Horrion. He shut off Horrion's heart but kept his mind within his own so Horrion's soul would not die. He used much of his magic and concentration pushing blood to the brain, pushing air onto and out of the lungs and drawing the tainted blood from Horrion... He would not lose Horrion like this! Not Like this. It took a minute with the advanced training he took mostly all of the venom from the wound. He sighed and drew a lot of energy from his blade to revive Horrion. Horrion's mind was still asleep. He would need to rest and then Hailut turned back the nerves and saw the pain had vanished. He looked up to see Sive heading towards Arya. Already the two riders dueled and now Sive would end it.. Hailut picked the bow off Horrion and took up the quiver. Sive would be ready for any teeth and claw or sword and shield. But where there are no archers... Who would protect against them? It was a waste of energy and with Hailut's studies. Energy was the thing a shade loved more then anything. Hailut began to scale the cliff jumping from rock to rock with ease. Arya had begun to manuever away from the two of them and looked intot he save to see Horrion seemingly dead. Hailut felt the sorrow fill the air as the two of them tried everything to just stay alive for one more second. While Hailut climbed he held an arrow in his hand and began to chant and ward and overward and cast so many spells upon the arrow it would either leave him near dead, or kill him. He hoped that the arrow would only leave him near dead... He truely hoped for it. Hailut counted upon two things. One the luck that the arrow would not be deflected, and Two that the demons had not made the same connection of a single being like Horrion and He had. If they had then the arrow's spell to knock out the demon would come up useless. Hailut scaled the final rock and stood tall upon the cliff. He saw the dragons dancing gracefully through the air with the demon making unnatural patterns. He had to get them closer... He saw Arya dive low and so he ran to the Cliff's edge and waited. He hid behind a rock waiting for her to pass by. He counted now upon his luck that they know it is him and catch him, or that he lands nicely upon the back without hitting any spikes. He saw them pass too far out and the new rider even further. But the demon passed closer. He jumped and caught hold of Andlarta's back. he casted a spell to lock his hand in place. "Letta!" He pulled his bow and proped it upon his hand as Andlarta dove and twisted trying to kick him off. He aimed towards the Sive who turned his head towards them. The way to kill a shade is to hit them directly between the eyes... Hailut smiled as he pulled the bow back. The spell slipped slightly and he had to readjust keeping focus. Andlarta kocked him a few times into the wall. But he held his grip trying desperately to keep his hand in place and draw the bow enough to get a shot off to Sive. Even if he missed it would make Sive die and reappear elsewhere... That would be good for Andlarta would be defenseless without the wards to protect.

Sive hissed. He twisted around in a blinding move. He sensed the magic thick in the air: his own and Hailut's. The arrow. It was embedded with so much energy... Could he make it in time to Haiult before he fired? Why wasn't Hailut in desperate pain and sorrow over the loss of Horrion...unless he wasn't really dead... He mustn't be dead... but how? Sive contacted Andlarta with a slightest touch. He needed to act... Leaping at Hailut, Sive felt the arrow stab into his stomach... Crying out he looked down at the shaft buried into his flesh. Grimacing he yanked it out. Too much pain... He'd never felt anything as excruiating. It was near blinding, and Andlarta roared in their shared agony. Sive sent energy to the wound, willing it to heal before grabbing Hailut. The wound wasn't enough to be fatal, but he if died from it, he'd reapperar back at the place he "died" when he was human. It was always the case. They fell from Andlarta, free falling in the air. Sive seperated his mind from his body, to ignore the furious pain. That helped greatly. It was all happening to fast for either to draw a wepon... Sive had his teeth and claws as well as magic. He desperetly racked at Hailut before kicking away from him. Andlarta started to swoop down, but out of nowhere, Leithan and Arya was there, tacking Andlarta. Sive slammed his sharp claws into the rock wall, using magic to ease the fall and friction. He finally skidded to a stop fourhundred feet from the bottom. Hailut, unless he did something would fall to his death. He watched helplessy as Andlarta battled with Arya and Leithan. They were moving too fast to allow any spells. He could hit Andlarta...
Arya struggled. Suddenly she felt a searing pain wipe over her mind as Leithan gave a shreik of pain. Andlarta had grabbed him on the hindleg, as she'd done to Horrion. They flapped around, falling steadly towards the trees below. Andlarta's eyes burned with a fury that made Arya shake. Leithan screamed in her head. "No!" she cried before striking Andlarta across her head with her sword. Andlarta released with almost a human-soundking cackle. Andlarta would leave them, it was Sive she headed for...
Arya leapt off Leithan, before they crashed into the trees. She landed lightly on her feet before running to Leithan's side. He thrashed around, the venom spreading rapidly, like and acid, eating at any living tissue. All Arya could do was keep the venom at bay... She felt exausted, using the magic from her amulet on Leithan. Don't you die on me... she cried. She had never dealt with such a toxic venom. At least Andlarta hadn't come after them. She was too worried over her rider, Sive... Arya felt an anger build. She'd kill them. Tourture them until they wished for a final death....

Hailut took his sword and shouted the name scraping it across his flesh. There was a flare of light and he appeared clinging to the Canyon's edge. He breathed heavily and drew the sword's power. He took up his bow and fired several times at sive impacting him multiple times. If he had not used the sword he could have died, now he was exsausted but he had a quiver of arrows to aim at Sive's head with. One would kill him... The arrows battered at Sive faster then he could pull them out. Suddenly his body fell writhing in pain and with a burst of magic he vanished. It did not remove him permanently but it would delay him from comming back tot he area too quickly. He looked to see Andlarta flying towards him. She seemed very angry at what he just done. Hailut shot a few arrows. Without Sive's voice to control the wards they all fell one by one as the arrows skidded into her skin. Hailut drew his blade as Andlarta hooked herself to the wall and snapped at him. He flashed the blade and jumped back from her. It would be a tough fight but he had to draw her attention from the wounded rider. Terek flew down at him took and a stream of fire shot down upon Hailut. He stood there putting a hand upon his side to draw energy from the jewels. Many but a few were already drained and after the fire the last one drained. Hailut jumped up the canyon and faught back Andlarta who seemed to be like a snake weaving through the cliff's edge snapping and clawing at him. She lifted off the wall and flew around to swoop in again. The other dragon shot a stream of flame and Hailut had enough time to jump high before it burnt where he stood. He wiped his brow and jumped off the edge avoiding Andlarta barely. He felt himself falling and he knew the sword would kill him if he tried again. He streamed to the side of the cliff and tried to grab hold of something. He dug his sword deep in and he felt the snap as he heard his bone break. He nearly let go but he forced the sword in and soon he stopped. He hung there by a single arm looking around. No where to even jump to. He hung there waiting as Andlarta took flight again to come at him.
