(Well what I said when "Diego sucked in a breath, knowing her choice. She'd join the Company." he assumed she would, with what she was telling him at first. But she surprised him and everyone else when she fired the shrapnel and disappeared. Amara is really confused and scared even. She doesn't understand what the Family is about, but she hates the Company. So she doesn't know what to do, so she flees by creating a distraction with her attack and disappearing. She needs to think things over first.)

Diego held everything back with both the ability to create a powershield and using his mind. It was hard enough to protect his own people that he didn't look out for the agents of the Family. From the five that came in, only three left. Diego sighed as he shut down both abilities and walked over at the Haitian, not seeing a word, he didn't need to. He hated all of them from ignoring his warning, things would have gone much better if they hadn't decided to rush in like that. He walked past everyone, up to Irial. "What are you doing here?" He asked. "How's Mila?"

Irial just stared. She heard someone order to take the wounded out. Diego looked at Irial. He hadn't been able to protect all the Company agents. "The Company offered me a deal..." Irial said, icily. "They said they'd help Mila heal if we would help capture... and perhaps kill Amara..." Irial said. Mila walked up. Diego hadn't seen her in the back, by the door. "I'm fine, thank you..." she said with a slight smile. "You should come with us though. Adam will want to talk with you. He needs you to help find Amara again. She trusts you, anyway..." Diego's face hardened. "I don't want to talk to Adam. Everything! All of this could've been avoided had he listened to me!" Diego said, getting furious. "And I doubt now that she trusts me..." Diego said, under his breath. He'd heard every word that she'd told him before disappearing.
Amara reappeared in the high mountains of the Rockies. She sighed, and threw herself onto the grass. The sky was so blue... Amara took the blades of grass and started to shred them, pulling them down the center. Amara knew she couldn't hide from the world forever. Running wasn't the answer, it never was. Peace wasn't either. It wasn't possible, if anything probable. Until The Family had come into the picture, she'd known what her goals were! She knew about the Company, why she fought them, and what to do about them: destroy them. Now? Diego had talked about sides. Why choose a side? Which was better? She knew nothing of the Family, so logically, Amara knew that she couldn't just join them. Time for some research... and she knew just the man for the job.

North West Berlin, Germany
Marco looked past Nate at Sofie, who was looking around to find an entrance to the building. Chris had noted that the whole thing was empty, there hadn't been anyone touching the steal since a week. So, something must have happened, that it was able to get Pinehearst down. Sofie had been telling Nate and him about Pinehearst on their way walking up North West. It was a rival of the Company, led by Arthur Petrelli, and it consisted out of Villians, mostly. A reason why they had brought Adam there in the first place, she told them. "So..." Marco said, walking up to the building, nodding at Chris to make their own entrance. "What did happen to my brother." Sofie smiled a bit. "You'll see, Shawn Saunders, don't worry." Marco rose an eyebrow but followed her in, she seemed to know the inside more than she knew the outside. Which was strange to the three of them. "Can we really trust her, Marco?" Nate asked, scared, when Sofie was heading off much faster. "I mean, what if..." "... She gave me the picture of the street painter. That's from a long time ago, how can she have gotten this from anyone but my brother?" Marco whispered back. "I don't trust her, I just believe her." "Isn't that the same thing?" Marco sighed and walked faster, leaving Nate behind. On the second story, in one of the labs Sofie stopped, waiting for Marco and Nate to come into the same room. She pointed at a big class aquarium, where a bit of dust was laying in. "Your brother, Marco." She said. Marco's eyes got bigger as he finally knew what she was talking about, someone had stripped his brother off his powers. He couldn't help crying and ran up to the aquarium. For a month he had hoped to see his brother again, but this wasn't what he hoped for.

You can't save everyone Diego was able to read from Mila's mind, while Irial's mind was more of an angry chaos, which disturbed him. "So, I'll let you two go ahead with finding Joyclyn and all. I won't be helping." Diego said, sure of that. He didn't want to come close to Amara again, the words she spoke to him were still racing through his mind. "I'll be after those agents from the Family for a while." He looked at the corpes that lay closer to the door, two of them. The young man that had given the introduction, and the girl that had made the whole room freeze. The three others had escaped, and they would be his target. "Maybe... you two could join me?"

(why is Marco's brother in an aquarium, even if his powers were gone? O.o)
Irial looked at Diego, her eyes cold. "Join you?" she said, with a laugh. "No, we have our own mission. Amara is ours... The Company's. Until she is dead, we can never have a normal life." I'm doing this for Mila, for Niki and for myself. Amara deserves it and ten times over! Diego got from her mind. Mila smile, a she grabbed Diego's hand. "I'm sorry..." she said, almost sadly. "I would help, but I can't. Irial is right..." she said. "This "Family" is something we know little about anyway. I wish you the best of luck," she said, before turning away to follow her sister. I pray he knows what he's doing.
"Jeusus!" Amara appeared suddenly besides Mike, a friend she'd known a long time ago. "Joyclyn, that you?" Mike asked, as Amara shifted back into her natural form. "Yup..." Amara said with a grin. "It's been a while... I... I thought you were dead. What in God's name, happened?" "Long story. Here, look. I don't have time to catch up on what's happened. I need you to give me information..." Amara said. "Please." Mike sat back in his chair. "Ok. Shoot." "Tell me everything you know about The Family..." she said.
(Diego, really I actually have no clue what The Family is, so just take Mike over so you can explain to Amara, ok? lol. >.< Thanks!)

(Adam lost his power, so he aged, and turned into dust because he's 400 years old, they just put his remains in an aquarium. I'll take over Mike)
Diego sighed, he had rather had Irial and Mila with him. Amara was much more dangerous and reckless than the Family was. If they just realized that... He walked out of his house, walking up to The Haitian. "You must understand that I don't want to see such behavior again." He whispered. "You're not our boss, Diego. You must understand your place." "I do! But that blow was a promise." "Adam wants to see you." "Does he? why?" Diego said, he looked at his apartment, his normal life was over, and it had only lasted two weeks. "Martin escaped!"
"Everything." Mike said. "Everything is not much, you must know. The Family has only showed up recently." He moved around. "The Family is ancient, they say. As old as Adam Monroe is, they've been watching out for a big part of the special people over the years. Mostly the ones in their secret society were the ones that were family. Five big families all over Europe. France and the first branch, Spain and the second branch, Italy and the third branch, Germany and the Netherlands and the fourth branch, and at last, The UK and the fifth branch. I know that every Branch had it's own elder, and that elder makes sure that everyone is save. Now, since they have showed up The Company is sure of a war, but not a war between The Family and The Company. The Family seems to have this earge to protect every special person against an other upcoming enemy. One that... well, I have no idea who or what it is, but it's big." He pauzed. "Anyways, the Family wants special people to life like every normal person, only under strict control, and with the knowledge to control his or her power. If they're dangerous, I don't know..." He ended, looking up at Amara. "Why do you want to know so much about The Family?"
Safety House, Paris
Martin opened his eyes, his vision wasn't very clear, but he did see Sofie sitting next to him. He had fell asleep on the couch when the healing was over. He could remember everything that happened since he lost his memory, as all the pieces inside his mind were back on their place. But the fact that he had a double memory as a Six year old made him a bit dizzy, dizzy enough to destroy his good vision. He hoped that it didn't mean that he had to get glasses, he was totally against wearing glasses. He looked up at Sofie, making her aware that he was awake, and she called for Jim. The man that had been in the safety house when they arrived. Martin closed his eyes and opened them again, the room was clearing up a bit, he saw besides James, Sofie and Renie, three others in the room. One girl who was crying on Renie's shoulder, and the other two guys were arguing. "You're awake." James said, sitting down on the table in front of Martin. Martin had to lift up his head to look him in the eyes. "Good, we were afraid you might never wake again. How's that head of yours?" Martin rose his eyebrow, his head did hurt, he would probably fall to the ground if he stood up now. "Better." He replied, not willing to look weak. "So, who are you people?" "We're the Family." James said. "The what?" "The Family, an organization like The Company, only we're willing to help people like us and not capture them, we're all like you." James said, his voice changed to that of a girl, showing what he could do. "You're not like me." Martin said with a laugh. He opened his hand, but nothing happened. Amazingly he looked at his body as he tried to practice Amara's ability, nothing again. "We aren't." Sofie said to James. "I think that thing Ian made has stopped him from being able to use his abilities. He's of no use to us anymore." Martin looked up at her, knowing she was right, and he hated it. "That's just impossible." He whispered. "Indeed it is, you can't stop evolution." James replied on Sofie, standing up and calling over the four other people in the room. "I think he only lost a part of his abilities, there must be something he's still able to do." Renie sat down next to Sofie, holding her hand tightly. The two guys took Martin's shoulders, and rose him to his feet. "Gem, Karl. I think he's able to stand himself." James said, but Martin wasn't, he fell back as soon as Karl and Gem let lose. "Seems he lost Regeneration as well." "How do you know so much about my powers?" Martin asked, as he tried to stand himself. "Your files." James replied. Martin sighed, he lay back down on the couch. That he lost his powers made him useless, they knew he could never live a normal life, not even when he was powerless. He wasn't such a person. Then, something inside him switched on one ability, the one that had always been truly his. The power to understand things. "The Family has it's own files." He said, he looked at the strange lamp above his head, and the watch on Renie's arm, he heard it tick. Two abilities seemed to be left in his mind, the ability that was his own, and the ability to hear stronger than normal people. It seemed he wasn't very powerless after all.

Amara ran her fingers through her hair. "Never mind...It's nothing," she said Mike stood up, taking her wrists. "Joyclyn..." he said, making her look at her. "I haven't seen you for the longest time. I thought you and your entire family were dead. And now you suddenly show up, asking about an ancient organization of special people and the Company. This isn't nothing!" he exclaimed. "Fine, it's complicated then," Amara retorted. Mike laughed. "Try me. I do complicated."
Irial finally let Mila drive, which she was more than happy to do. "You've been quiet..." Mila said. "Hmmm..." Irial answered. "What's on your mind?" "You know me better than that. Maybe better than I know myself at times. You answer that," Irial sighed. Mila thought. "It's Diego and Amara." "Duh." "Hey, don't look at me like that! Just because we're twins doesn't mean I have some awesome twin connection going on..." Mila joked. "I don't know. What, you think we should've joined Diego?" "Perhaps. What if we did? I mean, think about this. The Family is after Amara. They want her. The Company wants Amara, although for different reasons, obviously. Diego wants to get the Family. We want to get Amara. It's somehow all connected. I just have to figure out how!" Mila snorted. "Yea. So what we can then have a normal life?" Irial shrugged. "Sure, whatever it takes." "I don't think that we ever will. We're special. Different. We can never be normal." "This is true. But to get out of this perpetual cycle of fighting and danger. That's what I want. That's as close as we'll ever get to normalcy. Besides, Niki is almost 12! He needs this more than we do."
Amara walked over to Mike's couch. She saw a picture of them together on the table. He'd kept it all of this time. It was their prom picture. Taken on one of the last days of her old life. Mike walked over and sat besides her. "I want to know what happened?" he said. "You would never look at me the same again. You'd hate me. I have no where else to go. No one else to seek help from. I'm probably putting you in danger just by coming here..." Amara said, staring at the photograph. "What? Joyclyn! What's going on?" Mike said, panic in his voice. Amara was calm. "Please... sit," she said, patting the space beside her. Mike sat. "You know..." Amara started, "I'm no longer known by the name of Joyclyn Sage," she said. "I'm now Amara. I dropped my last name as well. Though I guess that part doesn't really matter. Amara Sage..." Amara said, testing the name on her tongue. "Amara? What? Why?" "Because I felt I needed a new name with my new life..." Amara said, her eyes far away. "If it makes you feel any better, my friends don't call me Mike anymore..." Mike said, with a smile. Amara looked over at him, confused. "It's not so drastic, but I just go by my middle name instead. I always thought it was a cooler name anyway..." Mike said. "Damien?" Amara said with a laugh. "Yup. What do you think?" he said. "I like it..." Amara said. "It'll be just another thing that has changed..." she said, putting the photo back on the table. "Damien..." she said again, putting it into her memory. Damien smiled. "I'm sorry. What were you saying before?" Amara's eyes darkened. "We should just leave it as that. You should forget that I ever came here..." she said, standing to leave. "No! Please! Don't leave, Joy-- Amara!" he said. Amara flinched, as if her name had hit her. Perhaps it'd be best if he called her by her old name... "Please..." Damien said, taking her hand. He pulled her back down to the couch. "You'd hate me... The world does." "The world can't hate you!" he said with a laugh. "Oh it's entirely true. I almost destroyed it..." she said, as if the thought in itself was comical. "I've ended so many lives. Brought ruin to so much..." Damien looked at her. "I don't understand..." "Of course you don't." Amara said. "You know our abilities?" Amara asked. "How I can move things with my mind? And how I can change my features? Well I can do so much more than that..." Amara said. "So much more." "Like what?" "I could kill you just by thinking I want you dead. I can torture a man till he dies from the pain, I can strip you of your senses, I can freeze and superheat things.... countless abilities. And because of these... gifts, there are many who want me dead. I probably deserve it, ten times over, but I don't want to die. Who does?" Amara said. "The Company they want me dead. The Family I think wants to recruit me. What do I think? It could all go to Hell!" Amara finished, her hands clenched. She looked at Damien, who's face was pale. "See? This is what I mean..." Amara said. To her surprise, he hugged her. "I probably couldn't ever imagine half the stuff you're going and have gone through. There's probably things you're not telling me, but that's alright. Think why I've been able to hide from the Company for so long... it's because I just know stuff..." Damien said. "And maybe or maybe not this my ability at work. But I know that I shouldn't leave you, and let you get hurt. I'm glad you decided to return."

(whihi, I love Adam Monroe. and like I said, Monroe is 400 years old, does fit (: I love the Helix =D )
Pinehearst, Berlin
Marco looked back at Sarah and gasped for breath. "How?" he asked, not being able to look at the aquarium. "Who took away his power?" "Arthur Petrelli, the leader of Pinehearst, but don't worry, he's dead." "Yeah! And so is my brother! Why the hell did he ask you to take me here while there's nothing left for me to do here?" Marco asked frustrated. "There is!" Sarah said, taking Marco's hand tightly. "You're the one person that can help him?" "What do you mean?" Marco asked, trying to pull back his hand, but he wasn't that strong as Sarah. Sarah smirked. "Remember my ability?" She asked and pulled him closer to his brother's remains, holing her hand above the dust. She closer her eyes briefly, when she opened them again a dark blue line showed on Marco's arm and rolled over to Sofie's, then flying around in the aquarium. "What are you doing?" Marco yelled in terror, as he felt his power going away, his body seared of pain. After a several moments Sofie did lose grip around his arm and he pulled it back, looking how the blue lines twirled up around the dust. Sarah pushed the aquarium off the table and waited for the dust to fly up and around the room. Then it was all pushed together, and the dust turned into the shape of a man, who was getting younger by the second. Till at the end there stood a naked man, blue eyes, short blond hair and an amazing smile on his face. "Baby brother." Adam Monroe joked. "Adam?" Marco said, not believing what he saw. Marco himself still looked a little older, but that was slowly healing. Now he knew what Sofie was saying with them needing her just a little longer. "Shawn..." Adam turned around to find his old clothing, but he didn't mind walking without them. "It has been a long time..." "Clearly it has." Marco says, noting how Adam hadn't changed, not aged a day, no difference in hair, his eyes still the same, and he still had the same attitude. If he could just know what Adam was thinking about seeing him.
The Company Building
"Martin won't form a treat anymore, I have no idea why The Haitian has used such a reason to get you here." Adam said, shaking his head as he lay his feet on his desk. Diego nodded, playing with one of the many penciles that lay all spread over the desk. "I'm going after The Family." Adam looked amazed, but he changed his face soon after. "If that's your choice, sure." He nodded at Lisa, who was standing at the door to come in. It was amazing how the both of them had grown more together lately. "I can give you backup if you want?" "I already asked Mila and Irial, but they said no. There's no one else I want to join me." "Adam can join you?" Lisa said, Diego could hear her thoughts, that Adam had said to Lisa how badly he was out for adventure. "I don't want to get your boyfriend in any problem." Diego said with a smile, and he stood up. "I'll call you as soon as I have something." He said, disappearing in front of them.
Safety House, Paris
Martin looked at the awesome speed that Karl was using when he ran through the room, catching things for Renie. James had left them, discussing matter with the boss of the First Branch. Martin had told him before that he had some powers left, and with that he might be able to get stronger if he could just learn new ones. All the powers he got from killing were gone, because his own ability worked with studying, meaning that with the killing he understood one right away, but now that Ian had done something to his head those were gone. The ones he learned, except Amara's ability, were still there; The black hands had come back, Invisibility, Induced Radioactivity was gone, Enhanced hearing was still there. And that was just it, there was no other ability that he was able to use. Sofie had given Martin some food to get back at strength, because the Regeneration was lost, he couldn't heal himself anymore, and so was transportation and Healing hands. He hated it so hard that he couldn't even concentrate on eating anymore. After he had calmed down he had been making Renie's watch, but that was easy enough, taking him only a few seconds. Gem stared at Martin the whole time. "Are you going to join us?" He asked. "Do I have any other choice?" "Yeah, you do... You can run away...?" "Sure, I can. But that would just get me no where." Martin said. Gem smiled. "Yeah, you would be just like Marco and his team. They're being followed the last month." Martin hadn't known that before, but now he did he was happy that he hadn't joined Marco at the end of the battle, always running wasn't his thing. He rather hided. "I had to make the same choice." Gem said, showing an a bit sad face. "What's your power, Gem?" Martin asked, he had been told that The Family was friendlier towards people like them, that's why they were called The Family. Gem took a deep breath. "Now look around." He said. Martin saw that everyone was gone, he didn't see them, he didn't hear them. It was clear enough what Gem could do, make people seem invisible, because it was sure that Karl, Renie and Sofie were still in the room. "Handy ability." Gem nodded. "When we were with the Five of us we were a great team." "What happened to the other two." Martin asked, knowing that Gem couldn't be meaning that Renie, James and Sofie were in his team, because they had just been on some kind of a mission. "Killed... by the Company." Gem said. "Both Jack and Caroline. Jack was our best resource on a mission. He could look into other place without being there." "Sounds... special." Martin said, he was more interested in powers that could be used as attacks or defensive.

Amara looked at Damien, as she helped clear off the table. She'd been silent for a while, when she asked, "Where's your folks, anyway?" Damien turned to her. "That's right, you don't know... My mother was in Paris last month for a business trip. She was killed when there was a riot in the streets and a building collapsed..." Amara's heart froze when she heard this. It was no riot that killed his mother. It was her. She indirectly killed her. "And your father?" Amara asked, quietly. Damien looked at her. "He's in the hospital. A week ago he had a heart attack. So I've gotten run of the house and everything." "I'm... sorry..." Amara said, looking away. She couldn't bear to look at him. Why? Had she grown so weak in this past few weeks that she couldn't bear death or pain? No, she could live off that. But why then was Damien's pain hurting her so much? Because she caused it? No, she'd killed and hurt so many other people without a care... She should leave. Not turn back. "Amara?" Damien asked. "Are you alright?" Damien asked. "Yeah. Just fine..." Amara said. "Damien, I really shouldn't stay here. No longer than necessary." "I'll come with you..." Damien said. Amara smiled sadly. "No, you'd get hurt where I'd be going, probably." "You should know me better than that!" he said with a laugh. "I mean with all your abilities... with mine..." he said, wrapping an arm around her. Amara looked sideways at him. "All you can do is get information from computers and magnetize metals..." "Has that stopped me before?" Amara rolled her eyes. "Please... Besides, your dad is in the hospital. He'll need you to help." Damien's face fell. Sighing, he said, "Yes... I suppose." Shaking his head he sat back. "Life isn't what they make it out to be..." he said with a synical smile. "No, it isn't. Life sucks. That's what I want to do. Change it."

Safety House, Paris
Sofie picked up the phone when it started ringing, he looked over at Gem and Martin as she nodded and answered the person who was talking to her. Then she lay it down and walked up to stand in front of Martin and Gem. She called for Karl and Jean, Renie wasn't the person who went on any missions ever. "James just called me. He wants us to go after Irial this time, he says that she will lead us to Amara, and we'll make one last attemp on asking her to join, after that she's over and we'll leaver her alone." Martin swallowed, Irial and Amara, he did understand that they wanted Amara, who didn't, but Irial. The Family was surely different from the Company, 'asking her to join' and 'we'll leave her alone'. This didn't look like any organization like The Company, they didn't care how long it took, you would join them, and they would never leave you alone if you didn't. They seemed to want this world to be protected from Evolution, that the normal, not yet evolved, people weren't ready for it. The Family wanted the same, and they had been doing that for a long time. "Martin, James want you to got with them, since... You know why." She said, and walked off, a few papers were put on the table by her before she left for Renie. "Sure..." Martin replied, looking up at the three, that had been used to this kind of missions for a long time. "That means no killing, Martin." Jean said, whenever James wasn't there, and Jack was dead, she had the most to say within the group. "No killing for powers, and no fighting until we say so."
Diego sat down on one of the benches around the Eiffel tower, he needed a place to search, they had ran off, and he was unable to find them until now. He looked to the little kid next to him, a young girl, aged eight, almost nine. She was there for everyone that needed to find someone, but she was only there for those who were like her. Diego was like her, special. And she only recalled for special people. Without him knowing she could have been a part of The Family, but he did not care for that. He just wanted to find those people that had interfered today, and find out what the Family was after. Certainly it was after special people, but why? "Will you be so nice to find Irial for me?" He asked. The girl looked up, already knowing who he meant. "You know what I want for it?" She asked. Diego nodded, and he gave the girl a piece of paper. It was strange, the girl only cared for collecting art. And surely it wasn't for herself. "Thanks, well, Irial is on her way to find Amara, somewhere North of here." The Girl said, but she looked not convinced. "I thought you were after the Family?" "I am, but where Irial is, Amara is, and where Amara is, is The Family too." "Logic." "You don't care?" "I'm not a part of the Family, like you might have thought." The girl said, sounding more like a grown up than a eight year old. Her hair was long, she wore a nice sticked pink dress, one that you might see a doll with, and she held a umbrella. "I did, but that doesn't matter. Can you give me the exact location?" Diego asked, not looking the girl in her eyes the whole time, he already tried to dodge the people that also were on the spot. Their thoughts made him look like some kind of a pervert. "I'll send them to your mind, I don't want to let anyone else hear it."

(sry, lots to read!!! ^_^ )
Irial and Mila walked through the airport. They needed to leave France and head to America. That was where Amara was. Sitting down at the window seat, Irial watched the plane take off. She'd finally have a decent rest. It would be over six hours in the air. Irial hadn't realized how tired she was until Mila was shaking her awake. "Irial... Get up. We're going to land!"
Amara had stayed in Damien's house for over a week now. It felt like home. She hadn't stayed in one spot for that long since her old home. Things felt... normal. If only they were. "Hey, I'm going to visit my father today. Do you want to come with me?" "Sure!" Amara said with a smile. She changed her appearance to one of Damien's friends. The last thing she wanted was for his father or anyone else to recognize her or anything. "Woah. I'm still not going to get used to that..." Damien said, taking her hand. "Here, there's something I've been waiting to show you!"
Damien lead Amara to the shed out back. "What is this some sort of crazy invention?" she asked. "Yea, actually it is!" He opened to door. They walked in together. He handed her what looked like a metal board. "Great, I could use this as a bat to hit someone over the head with..." Amara said sarcastically. "Really, what is it?" "Exactly as you see it. A metal board." "Ah... that's... cool..." Amara said, confused. She made a face. Damien laughed. "No it's not. But now it is!" he said, brushing his hands along the surface. "Watch!" he dropped the board on the ground. But as soon as it got a foot above the board, it stopped. "Damn!" Amara said, nudging it with her foot. "What'd you do?" she said, feeling the sensation of tingling, as she absorbed Damien's ability. "I'm not so sure. Magnetized it maybe? I just have a gift with metals and machines..." he said, winking. "Anyway, lets go. I'll be late for the appointment."
Amara felt uneasy as soon as they stepped through the hospital doors. It smelled like the Company. All sanitary and scientific... She shivered. Damien draped his arm around her, before remembering that she was still in a disguise. Amara was taken aback when she saw his father. Damien's father was only 39, but he had the appearance of a 60 year old. Sickness had that effect on the body. Damien went and hugged his father, who was still unconscious. Amara walked over to the man. Her hands felt weird. Full of... something. Then she remembered. She could heal. She had so many abilities, it was hard to remember what was what. But she could heal! Heal someone else! "Damien!" she gasped. "What? What's wrong? Are you ok?" Amara smiled. "I'm fine. But I think I can help your father..." she said, stepping forward. She placed her palm over his heart and his forehead. She felt something... oily and black slip inside of her; well that's what it felt like, the best way to describe it. Then nothing. Damien's father woke with a cry. Amara jumped back. Two nurses ran in, as the machines for his vitals went crazy. "Holy shit!" Damien cried. "You did it!" he said, grabbing her. "Ohmygod! Ohmygod!" he kept saying over and over, as the nurses, both confused and surprised, examined Damien's father. Damien relseased his strong embrace from Amara and hugged his father, who this time, returned it. "Ah! Damien!" he said, eyes bright. "What's going on? Where am I?" Damien looked back at Amara, who subtly. No. Damien nodded in understanding. He wouldn't mention her.
Amara walked out, hand in hand with Damien. Everyone was calling it a miracle. They'd just keep Damien's father there one more day for observation, then he'd be able to go home. "That was amazing, Amara!" he said, in awe. "Imagine how many people you could help with your abilities!" Amara smiled, but it was sad. "Not all my abilities work in such beneficial ways, I told you." "I know. But now, you can stay with me. Forget the Company and this Family. We could do so much good. Just the two of us..." "I'd love to do that. But it's not as easy as you think. The Company is still tracking me down; I've overstayed my welcome here long enough as it is. The Family wants me to join them, and I fear they'll do whatever the costs to make me join them. And I have so many enemies. You know what they'd do if they knew about us? Use you as leverage!" Amara hissed. "I couldn't let you get hurt..." she said. "Don't worry..." Damien breathed into her ear. "You worry too much..." Amara stepped back, so she could look him straight in the eyes. "I need to. That's is what has kept me alive---" Amara said, getting interrupted, as he leaned forward and kissed her.
Irial and Mila walked through the hospital. No one had seen a strange girl. She must have been in disguise, because they'd tracked her here. All anyone was talking about was the miraclous recover of Joseph Lorel, who had been comatose for the last few weeks with little hope of recovery. He'd just woken, alive and well, as good as new. "That can't be a coincidence..." Irial said. "Probably not. But was it Amara's work?" Mila asked. "Has to be," Irial said. "But think. Why would she help some random guy? They're not even related. As far as we know, Amara has no family left. Or if that, anyone close enough to offer help and to get help. She's not that type of person. Why suddenly would Amara go all St.Tresa?" Mila said, as they left the hospital.
Damien finally broke off. "You have to stay..." he sighed. Amara leaned against his shoulder. "I can't. I just know that they're coming. I'd ask you to come with me, perhaps, but your father. He'll have so many questions, and he'll want to spend time with you..." Amara said, as she felt a ache in her heart. She'd be leaving another person that she really cared about. There'd only been three people in her life that she'd ever really loved. Him, her mother, and her father. "My father..." Damien said, as he looked past her. "Yes. And how do you 'know' that people are coming for you?" Amara smiled at him, giving him a quick kiss. "I just do. And because I'm always right, as well as the fact that I'm always running, or else they'll find me eventually."
"Boo." Amara turned around to find Irial standing only ten feet away, gun in hand. Amara had tried to turn faster, but Damien's arms were still locked around her. "Awe! How sweet!" Irial purred. "You have a little victim!" Irial said, her voice nasty. Amara stepped away, putting herself in between Irial and Damien. She'd survive. He wouldn't. Where was Mila? Those two were most dangerous when they worked together. It was hard for her to detect two people, who were practically identical. She always only got one presence, but she just knew that Mila was hiding around. "I don't want any trouble..." Amara said. She'd been so happy. She'd just started to feel normal again. "I'm sorry, because we do."

(then it's good that I like reading a lot. Wow, unexpected time jump. GREAT! )
Diego had been tracking Amara and Irial for over a week now, and he was sure that The Family was doing the same as well. It hadn't gotten any easier when he finally found their trail, the girl was right for a bit, only the trail was a bit older than she thought. Abilities weren't always as useful and efficient as anyone would think. Sometimes they didn't do as was planned. He had wanted to give up many times, but he wanted to get the people from The Family, he needed to know if he himself had chosen the right side.
Martin sat opposite of Karl, Jean had left them behind because she knew where Irial was. And she wouldn't bring them into any danger until she was sure, they were far away from their areas. "So..." Martin said, he looked at the phone. "Does anyone mind me calling someone?" He asked. Gem looked up, he sat in front of a big window, waiting for Jean to come back. "I guess you can." Karl said, taking out his phone. "You have any family?" Martin shook his head. "Not anymore." He pushed on the lighted buttons. "But I got friends, and it would be rare if they pick up." The phone went over.
Chris was shocked when he heard his phone ring, Nate stared at it. "You got a phone?" He asked. The door went open and Adam, Marco and Sarah walked in. "You got a phone?" Marco asked in surprise when he saw Chris with the mobile in his hands. "I guess that that's weird?" "Indeed it is." Adam said, he made his way towards Chris, taking it over. "How did you manage keeping it loaded like this?" "My ability." Chris replied, he wanted to answer the incoming call, but Adam had already done that for him. "Who's there?" "Chris? Is that you?" The phone stood on speaker. "Damn, you're voice changed... where did you get that accent from?" Marco looked at Chris, hearing that is was Martin. Why did Martin call Chris? Had that been going on for longer? "That's Martin." Marco whispered to Adam, he had told his brother enough stories about Martin for him to know what Martin was, and on which side. "Hi, Martin. No, you're not talking to Chris." "Can you give me Chris, then?" "I'm sorry, but that's not possible." "Who are you?" "I'm Adam Monroe..." "Monroe!?" Martin said amazed, there were voices heard from the other side, more amazed then Martin himself. "Where are you Martin?" Adam asked, and by then he didn't know that Martin would really tell him where he was. "America." The phone started to beep in a second, and Adam held it off his ear. "What's that?" He asked Chris. "He hung up." Chris said, and took back his phone. He also had no idea why Martin would call him, and how he had remembered his number so well. "Well then, Marco." Adam said, standing up again, throwing his jacket off. "Let's make some new plans." He totally lay aside Martin and the phone call, that were things for later. They knew had to make a great plan to release the Virus once more, or something else to give the world a second chance. And for Marco and Adam to take revenge.
Diego jumped up, at some point his senses went higher, he saw a power twirl up close by. A light that was a bit white blue, and it seemed to be some kind of a healing ability. He knew only a few people with a healing ability, and now even less. Marco and Amara. Marco for sure wasn't in America. He jumped up and transported himself close by. A hospital, but ofcourse. He looked around, nothing. But he would feel her soon enough, she could use her power at any time, and he would be there. The Haitian's ability did do some good.

(yup! We needed to get things exciting and rolling again! lol. >.<)
Black violet flames whirled around Amara's fists. "I wouldn't mess with me, if I were you..." Amara said, her eyes black, full of fury. "Amara, who is she?" Damien asked, his voice a whisper. Amara didn't respond. "Really? Because do you really think your ability is faster than my gun? Could you stop me before I put this bullet through your head? You only survived last time because they missed your skull by a fraction, and hit the base of your spine. Trust me, I won't be missing..." Irial promised. Amara threw her mind at Irial, throwing her back. She felt a bullet tear into her side. That one hurt. Irial shot again. Amara pushed Damien out of the way. She knew this would happen! And if he died, it'd be all her fault! She couldn't bring back the dead. The dead were dead.
Mila stepped out now, blinding Damien, stripping him of his senses. Her powers had grown stronger as well. She had started to be able to shut off the different parts of the body, not just the major senses. She'd practiced on a bird. She could make it's wings stop. She tried on a rabbit, and made it's heart and lungs stop. She could do so much more. She was so much more deadlier. Grabbing Damien, she dragged him away, while Amara fought with Irial. Amara screamed as Irial attacked. She couldn't let Irial get into her head! Pushing back she fought with other powers. She'd grown weaker, and since almost getting killed, her abilities weren't where they used to. She could only use one power at a time. She used to be able to use over six at one moment! She had Irial pinned up against the wall. As her fingers came together, Irial started to choke. "Where's your little boyfriend, Amara?" Irial gagged out. Amara looked around, dropping Irial who sucked in air like a fish. He was gone.

Diego gasped as he saw the new aura's open up in front of his eyes, close. He transported away, appearing behind Mila. He read her mind immediately, he wanted to know what was going on before acting wrongly. He was sure of Amara being around, and since there was an other aura that looked like that one of Mila in front of him, he knew that Irial was fighting there. The most strangest thing was that he knew how this was all hanging together, it was Martin's power that was working for him now. He felt also two the same powers at use close, The Family.
Martin followed Karl in the long trail of the speed, it wasn't easy for him yet to use the ability, he still had to learn. He studied it for a long time, but it was harder than he thought. If he would make any wrong move he could be falling out of speed and get himself awfully wounded. They stopped next to Jean, at the edge of a building. "Good, you two are here." Jean said, she had ordered Gem to stay back, they didn't need him now. "Irial is fighting with Amara, so it's to dangerous for us to get involved now." She said, pointing her finger down. "Mila is keeping that boy with her, and Diego has just arrived." "Diego?" Martin asked, shocked. He still felt a big hatred towards Diego for killing his sister. "Yes, even after all that time he's still around." Jean sighed, and waited on the roof top. Martin wasn't about to wait, he planned on jumping down, but now he didn't have his regenaration ability. He sighed, and took off, in the speed that Karl learned him to use. And within seconds he was down, standing in shadows, looking over at Irial and Amara.

Irial was on her feet, emptying half her gun into Amara, who fell back. Just because she could heal didn't mean she couldn't feel the pain... Before she could finish healing, Irial was there. Amara just managed to duck and throw Irial back with her mind before the bullet hit it's mark. Amara gritted her teeth. She would kill Irial and her sister, when she found her. She'd kill them all. The Company, Diego... Everyone.
Damien struggled, growing weaker as Mila tampered with his nerve endings. They'd figured out what exactly she could do at the Company. She could interfere with the central and preferably nervous system. Irial could too. Except, she heightened the nerves, instead of deadening them. It was opposite almost. Mila twisted around, to see Diego. She just glared at him, though Diego could feel through her mind that she was surprised to see him. Don't you dare interefere, Diego Irial told him. I'll kill you just like we'll kill Amara...
While Amara had the time, she looked everwhere for Damien. She closed her eyes breifly, using one of her newer powers to search for him. THERE! He was with Mila! She closed her eyes and transported there.
Mila was really started, when Amara appeared a few feet away. Amara rammed her fist into Mila before Mila could react. Mila was up on her feet though, quick enough. She grabbed Damien, pulling him up to her. He could barely stand, so she gave him back control of his lower body. "What did you do to him!" Amara snarled, ignoring Diego. Mila gave Amara an icy look. "Oh, it's a new thing I can do. One step closer and I'll stop his heart with a thought. He'll be dead quicker than that," Mila said, snapping her fingers. Amara hated herself. This was exactly as she feared. She had given her heart away again, and now it was being exploited. She might as well throw it away, so she wouldn't be hurt again.
Amara threw Mila back, knocking her out. Damien was up on his feet, gasping for air in a second. "Amara!" he said. "Look out!" Amara turned, to see Irial, somewhat out of breath from running to her sister. Distracted by Damien, she had little time to react, as she'd also been out of practice. Before she could do anything, Damien jumped in front of her, pushing Amara away. Amara screamed, instinctively freezing time, but it was too late.

Diego wasn't going to interfere, this was not his fight. He wasn't here to go after Amara, or to help Irial and Mila catch her. He waited for the Family, although he wouldn't be allowing any of them to kill each other! He used his powers to search for an other person, or more, in the area. There were a few powers being used, and one was very close, first it had been far away, and now really close. The aura was almost the same as that of Amara, only more brightly and less strong. Amara's aura was like a rainbow of powers, all different colors, this one was too, but it's surface color was different. Amara's had turned black, this one was dark blue. After a few moments he regonised the person in the shades. Martin!
Martin followed Amara and Irial with his speed, closing himself in in the shadows again, looking up to wait for Karl and Jean to join him. Although he wanted to, he wasn't going to do anything before he got the orders to.
Paris, France
Adam opened to door to outside, followed by Marco and Sarah, and after that Chris and Nate. "I say..." Adam started, as they were walking through the streets, and finally noticed by a few police men. It wouldn't be long until they had more on their back, Marco, Chris and Nate were still wanted men. "... we shake up this little city and show them that we're here!" "Sure." Marco said, nodding at Chris and Nate. For the last week Adam had made him feel like he was the boss, but he wasn't the boss over Chris and Nate. Chris moved back a few of the cars, making everyone's eyes turn their way. Nate did the same, their powers were a lot alike, only that Chris' was more complicated and that he wasn't able to move anything but steel. "Why again are we doing this?" Marco asked as they had driven the attention to most people on the streets their way. "Because I want to know what the government will do about it, and what special organization they have called upon." The last week Adam had talked about nothing but some secret organization that was catching people like them and treating them like terrorists. There was said that those that were captured never returned. They had not yet been given a name, but Adam was sure that since the US Company was wiped off the map and so was Phinehearst that someone would take his chance and inform the president of the US about it. Europe was a different area, but that didn't mean that that same organization wouldn't show up here. Adam wasn't afraid, he was interested. Just like Marco he wanted the power over the world, and for that he needed knowledge of his enemies, and what could become his allies. If The Company and The Family saw this new organization as a great enemy, there were some opportunities that he could be able to get his place back at the Company, and tell everyone to fight for their rights as special people.

Amara saw everything with clarity, as time stood still around her. She sucked in an amazed breath. She looked at Diego. He was the only other one who wasn't effected by her stopping time. She didn't even know she had this ability. She must have picked it up from Diego himself. She moved her hand over Damien's body. No, he couldn't be dead. Nothing in the world could change that. She had been too weak to defend herself and him, because she'd let her guards down. She'd tried at being "normal" for once. Look where it got her. No, she'd never let that happen again. Then Amara got an idea. She could go back in time. Stop Damien from ever getting involved... or something that wouldn't lead to his death. It was her fault.
Diego heard Amara's thoughts. Her mental barriers were down in her grief. He had to say something. If she attempted to go back in time. It could mess with everything. "Amara, no," he said, finally using her second name, instead of Joyclyn. Why was that? Diego just noticed. Amara did too, but decided not to say anything. "I need to go back. To save him..." she said. "You can't," Diego said, trying not to get involved. As he knew, this wasn't his fight. "I must. And you can't stop me..." Amara growled, getting to her feet, hands glowing with black and violet flames. "True, I can't. But you shouldn't. You can't play god..." Diego said. "To choose who lives and dies. What if you go back and mess up everything? Things happen because they do. Tampering with time... or the past. That's dangerous stuff." Amara sneered. "And whose to say you haven't tried that yourself!" Diego shrugged. "Lets say then, that I'm telling you from experience." Everything jumped back into time. Amara felt her powers come to life, strengthened by her anger and sorrow. Everyone would pay! Amara launched herself at Irial. She would tear that girl's head off. Then she'd kill Mila.... Bloody plans formed in Amara's head as she fought with Irial, who was more on the defensive. Everything was moving too fast for her to get a good shot off. Amara hissed as a bullet skimmed her neck. Close call... too close. Amara vowed she'd kill anyone that got in her way as well.

Martin was joined up by Karl, who told him that it was ordered to them to get Irial and Amara from fighting. This wasn't the time for specials to fight each other. Martin nodded, approaching Amara in such a speed that she had no idea that he was coming, he used his ability to get Amara from the place she was standing till a few meters away, while Karl took Irial back a few meters. Hoping this would give them enough time to let Jean put on her trick, her ability. She was down, just somewhere behind Diego, using her ability to make Amara, Mila and Irial aware of their plans without talking. She wanted to warn them, warn them for what was coming. Fighting each other isn't the best solution... You should set away your differences because there's a more powerful enemy after all of us. Do you really think that killing each other will solve all your trouble? Diego was able to hear her thoughts too, putting some energy in his mind. He didn't move, he didn't talk. He only listened to what the girl had to say, what The Family had to say. Within any days the Government will find all of us, take us in... Even you, Amara, you might think you can't die, but they have things that will make you harmless to the world! They think we are all terrorists, and they will get us no matter what. We're not here to take you in, or stop you from this fight if that's what you want to continue! We're just here to ask you to join us, the Family offers protection to all the special people. She stopped, hoping she had said enough. Although she knew that it wouldn't be enough for Amara, she was known for not listening to reason.
