Colby hestiated, then slowly nodded. "Alright, I'll come check it out, I guess." he said. "If I were to decide that I don't want to join, or that I want to leave, will I be able to? Or is this one of those 'kill you to release you' type deals?" he smiled, but it looked more predatory than a smile ought to.

Lora smiled back, just as cold, and predatory. "I like you kid. You think fast...." she said. "Depends... will you rat us out? I don't think so. You don't seem like one of those to aid the Global Police or HEL... So no. You may leave when you wish. But most Hemophorites on the outside running low, don't last too long. Practically a death sentence..." Lora said. "Hop on," she said, motioning to her hover board, as the other Hemophorite jumped on her board.
Sera shook her head. "Another reason why I needed to talk with you..." she said to Kristen. "Humh?" Kristen said, still listening to her ear piece. "We need to see if we can coincide plans in the least. HRS was hoping that you'd join us. But since you stand firm on being your entity, we can at least make arrangements to work together and mobilize agents..." she said.
Evan ran to the report room. All over the city, attacks were happening. Or at least a high activity of sightings. The phones were ringing off the hook. "Send out fifteen squads! I want a full report on the Stane Case. Get any bodies... You know the drill!" Evan barked. He drew his hand through his hair, not sure of what to do. It'd been a long time since a large, personalized attack like this on a single house hold. Usually it was a few houses... randomish people... This... this was strange. Perhaps it was a revengeful Hemophorite? Some strung-up Vamp? He sat down, to think.
Ari watched Carson run off, and he turned towards his other sister, Lana. So young! Kristen should've known that being so young, she'd die in transformation... She did it on purpose! He brushed back her dark hair. The color of his hair. She looked only sleeping. He remembered her voice... "Ari... Ari!" Ari shook his head, getting the images out of his mind, his hatred and anger growing, temporally clouded by his grief. "Son, I'm going to have to ask you to move..." a man in a Bio-hazard suit asked. "You're going to have to come with me too. This is a contaminated area. The disease could be anywhere here. We don't want you to get infected." "Damn it all! The disease isn't contagious through the air!" Ari snarled. "It travels by blood! And only blood! A fluid to fluid... She's not bleeding... I'm not bleeding. It's not a problem!" The man was startled. "We need to keep precautions sir. I know your pain. But please move aside..." "No!" Ari screamed, shoving the man away. "Guards!" the man called. Ari was blind with anger, rage, greif. He couldn't' think straight, he felt almost numb, as the guards tackled his striking arms. He managed to wriggled free, kicking a man in the knee. He heard a pop at it broke on contact. Ari might have looked young, but he was strong from hours of training. He knew how to fight. Finally, he was pinned down by six officers. "What's his problem?" one asked. "It happens... This is the son. The only survivor..." the other officer reported. They counted all "surviving" Hemophorites dead anyway. They were as good as dead. So the Hemophroite, Kara, who had been supposedly taken by the other Hemophorites wasn't counted as a survivor... "Tie him up until his gets his wits again and calms down..." "Here, son..." "My name is Ari!" "Sorry... Ari. Here, take this, it will help," someone said, shoving a liquid in front of his face. Ari turned his head away. "Really, just drink it." "Fine..." Ari felt his head slowly clear, but it didn't help the pain. Ari just wanted to get away now so he could be with his sister.

Kirsten smiled. "Alright. But they know the location of the base due to their hounds and my blood. Prehaps your place is safer." There was a loud bang on the outer doors and a rush of men. Everyone immediately clung to the sewer grate and opened it. The government never went into the sewers because it was cramped and dark. Some sewers could be down as far as a thousand feet and contain a vast network of smaller sewers. It was the Vampire's city down there. The government tried to lock them down at least from getting out of the city, but there were millions of entrences and exits and that is what they thrived on was the ability to use them at will. They all rushed under and moved. It was a drilled evacuation and some of the newer ones just stuck with the group. "As you can see we have plans to get away from them. There is plenty of raw beef in the sewers to make the dogs run the opposite way. The men will follow and we will be all good." Sera followed them. Kirsten had given up her wheelchair and walked with a slight limp but that was all. The bullets were gone and so was the pain. Kirsten ripped off her bandages and stretched her leg. It was nearly healed. "Prehaps the government made a strand of the disease that was not a timebomb and they knew about it. Prehaps they are hiding it because they know what we can do with it. We are the next step in evolution either by god's will or our own... Now lets say you about us working togeather... If not I will just head to our other shelter."
Carson locked the doors and set Kera down. She was slowly waking, not a good sign, there would be plenty of pain and tons of screaming. Screaming that all hemophorites knew was the birth of a new. He would have to keep her quiet but sedating her would ruin his knowledge of how they changed. He decided to lock her up in the interrigation room and sealed the doors. He tried to make it as sound proof as possible but there would be no true luck with that. He went into the side room and stared through the oneway mirior. He waited for her to wake up. On the table inside he had food for her, about five gallons of water, and some basic needs, blankets, a bed, and a pillow. He had though reinforced himself with a shotgun. He was ready for it all. He turned on the outer cameras and watched to make sure there were no eyes watching him.

(Darkness Song, fyi, it's Kara, not Kera ) Sera nodded, using her hoverboard to maneuver above the sludge of the sewers. She rather not have to take another shower when she got back to base... "Kristen, would you like a ride? I can move a lot smoother and faster with this." she offered, seeing that Kristen, though healed, was still slower. "Sure..." Kristen said, as Sera helped her up." "Okay, do you want to know the HRS plan? I'm one of the main leaders of this particular mission. I think I'm probably breaking HRS regulations to tell you this... Can I trust you?" Ari ran towards Carson's house as soon as he was out of sight from the officers. He knew that Kara would soon wake. He knew about the process of mutation of the cells from the disease. He wanted to be there to comfort her... and himself. Ari knocked on the door. Carson looked through the camera. He made his way to the door. "Just you, kid?" he asked. "Yes, now let me in!" Ari said, impatiently. Carson opened up, and Ari stepped in quickly. "Where is she?" "Come with me... Oh, and you know that it won't be pretty, right?" "Yes... Yes, I know," Ari said. "Can I go in?" Ari asked, as they came to the room. "Better not. She'll wake disoriented..." "That's why I want to be there for her. Trust me. She's my sister. I need to be there. And I can handle whatever will happen..." Carson sighed, not wanting to deny Ari the okay. "Fine, kid. Here, just take this just in case," Carson said, handing Ari a shot gun. Ari looked at it with horrified eyes. "No!" "Just in case, kid. I didn't mean that you will need it!" "Forget it. I'll take care of myself!" Ari said, stepping through the door." Kara lay. She moaned, as she started to wake. Ari pulled over a chair to the table, which had been converted into a bed. He felt her forehead. Wicked hot. Taking her hand, he squeezed. "It'll be alright..." Ari said, tears falling from his own face. "It'll be okay..." "Ari..." Kara murmured. "ARI!" she screamed, finally waking. "It burns... Please! Make it stop!" she cried, thrashing. Luckily, Ari had pinned down her limbs, to keep her from hurting herself. "Carson, you have any pain meds?" Ari called, over Kara's wailing. "We should sedate her... She's in so much pain," Ari called.

Colby nodded, and climbed on the back of her hoverboard. "My name's Colby." he said to her. He wasn't much of the trusting sor, so he was kind of surprised at himself and the turn of events, but he thought that this was a trustable and worthy cause. "What kind of things will I be doing?"

Carson sighed and looked away from the monitors. As soon as he did a dark shadow slid across the alleyway. (You will see who it is) Carson opened the door and threw in a small container of pills. "I can't risk all the supplies for one person. She does not need them so just give her half the dose. It will sooth the pain but she will need the pain to remind her of what those things did to her." Carson closed and locked the doors and then went back to the monitors.
Kirsten held onto Sera. "You could probably trust me. Our views are the same though a bit different." There was a loud barking as the government finally moved into the sewers. The barking faded in the other direction. Kirsten turned around and jumped off walking with her people. "Tell me later, for now we should all move faster." She did this because she could not tell her men do move faster or do anything she would not do. It was her leadership that they followed and even wounded she would much rather march with them then sit on the hoverboards and glide ahead of them. Kirsten stopped and whispered to one of her men who wore a backpack. He stopped and started to unpack small pipes with wires. She smirked and he mounted them on the walls. Sera looked at Kirsten. "Its a small suprise should the government come this way. Trip pipebombs." A red lazer blinked until it was set with the sensor on the other side, then it turned off until it was invisible. The man packed up and then rushed ahead to catch up with the rest. The barking of the hounds was soon turned to their direction.

Ari grabbed the pills. He nodded. He struggled getting the amount down her throat. It pained him to see her this way. With every thrash and muted scream, Ari wanted to kill Kristen. It was her fault. He swore that once Kara was better he'd find Kirstin...
Kara tried to reach for Ari. She couldn't see anything, but she knew he was there. It was hard to think. It was like when she used to get nightmares he'd come and hold her hand and tell it was only a dream and would be okay. Images of her mother, father...dead, flashed across her vision. Was Lana dead? Was she dead? No, death was nothing like this. She wished she was dead. She wanted to do anything to kill her self. Anything end the pain! (many Hemophorites end up killing themselves from the pain)
Sera smiled. She moved her board so she could be more eye-level with Kristen. "Do you mind walking a head of the group for a while so I can discuss the plans that we have with you? I rather it be just us for a while...." Sera said, glancing back. "No offense..."
The Hemophorite looked back at Colby. "You'll see. We'll bring you to the Boss. But I think you'll enjoy what we do..." she said, as the two hoverboards zipped off into the night.

Kirsten smiled and dashed ahead a hundred feet with Sera catching up. She walked with a little less limp and even moved move nimbly. "What is the plan then?" They all quickened their pace around then. To a steady jog. An explosion and several yelps and shouts sounded behind them. The government was distracted yet again.
Carson moved to his monitors and stared at them intently. The dark shadows moved on the scream as several of the leaches looked for the souce of the new blood. They stayed there whispering to eachother thinking that he could not hear them. "Shall we tell the boss of this? She does sound like she will live." They spoke to one another. Carson zoomed up on a face. This one had several scars, more of markings of stature. "Let us get back to him then. He always likes a new blood." Carson had seen this face before... He could not- Kirsten! He fell back from his chair and ran out the door and started to arm himself. This was the same informat they had captured that led to where Kirsten was held. The same menace that had changed her. He stood back up and cursed loudly even though no one could hear him. He looked to Ari and Kara. It would be fine for the next few minutes... He looked to his chart on the wall to look at sunrise. Most of them hid an hour before hand so they did not have to get their eyes hurt. But with so many manholes and enterences to sewers around these parts they did not have to. Thye organized themselves and now many stayed out til ten minutes before when the horizon light would be blinding. He looked at the time and checked. Twenty minutes until sunrise. It would be safe.

Sera was silent for a moment. Long enough so that Kristen had thought she'd changed her mind. Kristen scowled. "So?" "One second..." Sera said, actually listening through her ear piece. "Okay, sorry about that.... You know how the Global Systems have set up a whole united network of things?" "Yea. The history and everything. The world is closer..." "And therefore more easily changed..." Sera said. "And influenced. The Global System might be good because everything is under one system, but if that one system were to be shut down... or in our case... contaminated, than the entire world is effected. HRS plans to attack global." Kristen's eyes widened. She did all she could in the US. But the entire world?! "What do you mean?" Sera smiled. It was colder, but there was a hit of sadness. "The Global System Blood Bank. Or as it's better known: The Blood Bank International Co. Supported by the Red Cross. The main system is held here in America. We plan to make a raid and contaminate the supply. Which is to be shipped international the next morning. It's a monthly routine so every country has the needed and necessary amount for it's population. Since the World Revolutions back a few hundred years ago, everything is organized. If we inject the blood with the disease, it'll contaminate millions..." Kristen didn't respond at first. "But isn't that what you don't want?" Kristen asked, thinking. "You were angry at me for turning those two girls...." "I was. And still am..." "Then doing that exact same thing to millions of people?" Kristen said. "You're a hypocrite." Sera glared at Kristen. "I wish I was..." she said, her voice sad. "I wish there was another way. But with the creation of HEL, it'll be harder now. We've managed to hack their outer system. They plan to go global. And with that, end us. They have the top scientists on board. Trying to destroy us. It can't go that far. We need to act now... As much as I hate it. And if I reject this mission, I reject HRS. I can't do that. Besides... HEL is getting stronger every day, with more recruits, technology... It's like a tumor, growing, soon to spread uncontrollably..."

Evan was suprised by what happened in the sewers." Get me a map of the sewers! I want people at any exit, we don't want them to escape." Finally he had a little rest, as everything was being set up by his workers. He noticed he hadn't heard anything from Carson and Ari recently, but one had reported the situation there and from that he wasn't going to inrupt them with what he had to face here. They had their own problems." Get some new dogs, and make sure the area is cleared before taking over an other section." It seemed that the Hemophorites tried to distract them with the bombs.

They turned into a smaller sewer and everyone funnelled in. It was the last leg of their trip but they had to lose the government first. They no longer heard dogs barking which was a good thing. "You do realize by doing so your not just infecting those who can still live with the disease. Children, the sick, those who are too weak to fight it... You would be the cause of billions of deaths." Sera sighed. "I know that." "Just tell me what you want me to do and I shall consider it."
Carson looked to the monitors. He watched the clock. Fifteen minutes. It felt like hours... Suddenly there were several maybe even twenty of them outisde. He cursed loudly and went into the supply room and pulled out a large light. It was bright enough to light up and entire football field. It would hopefully distract the leaches long enough until the sun rises. He aimed it through a small shaft in the door and turned it on sending them into a hissing screech. Loud enough to echo through his home.

Ari jolted up right. "What!" Kara reached out blindly her fingers digging into his shirt. "No..." she cried. "Shhhh... " Ari said, distracted. He pulled out a gun... He had grabbed it, but it had never planed on using it on Kara. And made his way to the door. Glancing back, he left to see what was up. He'd be back for Kara. It'd hopefully only take a moment. "Carson?" Ari called.
Sera wrote on a piece of paper. "Meet me and my crew at this address tonight: 10:00. Bring your best men. But they must be stealthy and trustworthy..." "All my men are!" Kristen retorted. Sera raised a delicate eyebrow. "I'll see you later. I have to get back. They'll be wondering why I haven't reported back yet." "Okay... Be careful. The government is still out." "Yea, I will," Sera said, veering her board away and up a shaft.

Kirsten made her way through the tunnels taking so many different routes she hoped the government would give up. They made their way to the safe room deep in the sewers and there they all gathered in the cramped space. They would all have to stay here for a few hours.
Carson looked outside and saw no one and went back. "What is it Ari." "What the hell was that noise?" "We had a few unwelcome visitors. I fear for us both we need to relocate her immediately! They will probably return when it is nightfall."

Ari stared at Carson, wide eyed. "What! Why? Can't you take them? This place is the most secure place in the city! You said so yourself! How? No one follow me!" Ari ranted off, confused. He took a second to breath, allowing Carson to interrupt. "Will you wait!" Carson demanded. Ari glared at him. "It was Kristen, wasn't it." Carson turned on Ari. "Listen hear, kid. You won't mention her... Got it? And just to leave you in peace, no it wasn't her. It was the leach that turned her." Ari ducked his eyes. "Oh... I'm sorry." "It's okay." "You've never said 'leach' before... I have to assume you mean the Hemophorites." "Yea, their technical terms. Too long for my taste. Vampires or leaches are more like it." "I know, but they don't drink blood (I have a plan for that later)" Ari said, even more confused. "No, but you know that they look like vampires..." Ari nodded. "So what do we do? Where do we go? How did they find us?" he asked. "Why?"
(you'll learn more about the disease here.... ;D)
Sera landed safely back at base. After cleaning up... it took forever to get the stench of sewer off her... she headed to the Lab. She was still only learning totally about the disease, but it interested her and it made her feel like she was actually helping in a less...destructive manor than killing and violence. She'd never been much of a violent person as she had been strong-willed. She had planned to major in science and biology when she went to college. That was if she had made it to college. Instead she'd gotten infected. Sera donned the long white coat, and headed into the large sector. "Good afternoon, Agent Nelson," someone said. She nodded. Although it was still dark, they called day night and night day. Most Hemophorites ran on a different clock. It was only agents that were up a good part of the entire day, sleeping whenever possible. The sun never kept any of the agents from leaving. It was just more noticeable that you were a Hemophorite in the daylight. Much paler usually, your movements were less... human, more fluid. And many Hemophorites had a stronger strain of the disease, so their pupils were extremely and permanently dilated, causing severe pain in bright light, but better vision in the dark. Most Hemophorites had elongated k-9s. Some more than others. Those with the weakest strain had less physical side effects. Although they weren't as fast, strong, or agile as others, they had normal eyes... normal teeth... But no matter what, everyone died after 19 years. It was that the telomeres shortened extremely fast, along with other things. It was that the disease caused the body to function faster than normal. The metabolic rate increased, heart rate, hand eye coordination, muscle growth...everything, giving you speed, agility, inhuman reflexes and senses... But in cost, the life span shortened incredibly. It was a high cost.
Sera pulled on a mask. "Hello, Doctor. What do you have for me today?" she asked. "Ah, Sera! You're late. But that's okay. I got started out without you..." "Oh, you shouldn't have!" Sera joked. "So?" "We have some... disturbing news," Dr. Cable said, gravely. "What!" "As you know, there's four different levels of Hemophoria. We've been working on a fertility test. Negative. And as Hemohoria is spread through the blood, we've injected level four into some cadavers. You should see this...."

"Damnit!" Evan yelled as he saw a group leaving the sewers from an infared camera." Idiots! I told you to secure every SINGLE exit! This half the job!" He sat back in his chair, well ofcourse it was going wrong. But there was enough to do next. He had send some agents away to get the place where the Hemophrites were hiding.

Sera moved over to the dead body. "Now we have yet to test it on a live subject..." Dr.Cable said, as Sera examined the body. "But the results are there..." "What results?" she asked. "There have been some disturbing rumors. We've always thought that it was only the features that made the nickname for this diease, the Vampire disease. But there have been a few cases where Hemophorites will attack humans for their blood..." "What!?" Sera gasped. "Listen. I've been researching this for a while. There are instead of four levels, five. The fifth level is where I see this happening. It seems to be taking place in the last year of life. So their 19th year. Coming to the Date of Passing (aka their death) the Hemophorite seems to go... insane. It's then that they attack humans, and then die. I don't get why though. There's no point evolutionary. Everything is based off evolution though... We die because the disease eventually wears down the body. The disease developed in ancient times, when life was short enough and it was needed to be faster and stronger. All these physical changes were adaptions. But the blood lust? That makes no sense. And only now have I been able to find there are such cases. They're rare. So I've called a group of agents to keep watch for such activity. I'll call you as soon as a few have been captured..." "So I guess that this man was a level five Hemophorite?" Sera asked, point to the body. "Yes. Found yesterday. Recently dead. Look at his teeth though..." Sera pried open the mouth. His teeth were definitely longer than normal. They'd easily cut through flesh. Sera had level four, so her teeth were long. But this man's? She looked at the hands. Yes, long nails too, sharp, and pointed. An attribute only for level four and five's... "I guess that I should be off to get some rest..." she said. "I haven't slept in over 55 hours..." she said (they need less sleep, but they still need sleep ) "Okay. Sleep well. Good luck with tonight's mission. I'll bring you the tubes before you go." "Great, thanks."

Kirsten rested soundly standing up. Her eyes open slightly. It was more of an adaptation to her harsh life. This has not been the first time they were run out of a safehouse and it would not be the last time. But this safe room was both the smallest and the safest around. Her men laid ontop of one another sleeping without a care. It had been a while and not many of them were infected enough to make them stay awake long they still were mostly human. Kirsten rested her head and looked up when she heard people outside. They strolled past just talking about how much they hate this job and how bad it smelled down in the sewers. She smirked and went back to her half sleep.
Carson sighed. "It is the safest by definition but still these leaches are not like others. Normal ones do not have access to explosives, Lethal gases, or even to the government itself." Ari looked at him strangely. "The government? How could any of them be in-" "They are not in it! But when a leach threatens a senetor or congressman to infect his entire family, things can be done. I do not know what they call themselves but most are just plain insane. The (Boop noise) who changed Kirsten, he was a high ranking official of them. We knew most of their information then and now its all completely useless. Their codes, who they influenced, their safe houses... everything. They changed their entire layout within the week. They are not stupid they are smart and that is why I do not even trust my own bunker against these vile leaches..." Kara's screaming quieted as the worst part of the transformation was over. "Just keep her quiet and lets hope they do not return in the daytime."

Evan sat down on his lazy chair, he receaved the status report from almost every section. Then a few people left, they had failed and they now had to wait for a new job."Holiday." He called, and a man emmediatly lay down his work and ran up to Evan." Can you call round, I haven't heard anything off Carson after that Hemophrite attacked. Make sure everything is okay." The man nodded, turning away. "Wait... No, give me his number, I'll call him myself." Evan said. The man got back, handing a walkitali over to Evan. It went off itself, and he didn't have to do anything, but hoping that Carson would pick up, And that he didn't lose it.

Ari didn't say anything else, just turned away and made his way back to Kara. He was tired and hungry, sure, but he didn't leave to eat, and he only slept so lightly, that it could barely be called sleep at all. Time seemed irrelevant, in this windowless room. Ari must have drifted off to sleep finally as he heard someone calling his name. "Ari?... Ari?" He didn't want to wake. His dream was so nice. "Huh?" he asked. Suddenly he shot awake, everything coming at him all at once. Someone screamed, starting him entire out of sleep. "Kara?" he asked. Kara watched him with cautious....black.... eyes. Ari looked away, meeting them. "Ari...." she said again. "What happened? Where am I?" she said, her voice scared. "Why am I tied down? I can't... remember... All I remember is the pain..." Ari's throat was tight. "Your memory will come back. Give it some time..." He swallowed. "You're... infected." "Are they dead?...Mom and Dad?" Ari hesitated. "Yes.... So is Lana." He still hadn't faced Kara. He heard her gasped. "Lana?" Kara asked in a small voice. Ari didn't answer, letting her get over her shock. They were inseparable. Finally she said, "Please untie me..." Ari turned to her, looking at her coal-black eyes. He undid the straps that bound her arms and legs down from the transformation. As soon as her arms were free, she hugged him. Ari was startled, wary, and unnerved. He slowly hugged her back. Only then that he realized he was crying. She looked at him, sniffling. "Why? Why me?" she asked. Ari couldn't answer. He really didn't know.

Carson heard his headseat buz. He stopped and picked it up. "Get off this line. I will call you back." He immediately hung up and went over to his land line. He made sure of it that this line would be 100% untappable. Took months for him to secure the phone line in the sewers. He dialed the number and Evan picked up. "Now what did you want to tell me..." It was more of a statement then a question. Carson walked over to Ari and looked into the window before walking back to the phone. He muted his voice as best he could but he knew they still could hear him. He did not wanna say he was in trouble because anyone who tried a rescue would die.
