(Yea we both kindof use your charactor. Okay first you know when Horrion and Andlarta faught, then about that time Leithan showed and you faught him. Then Horrion was taken down by Andlarta by a venomous bite and soon after so was Leithan. But now Hailut has killed Sive, Temporarily since shades can revive unless you hit square in the eyes, and Andlarta attacked. But Hailut is on the side of the cliff and he dodges and your char streamed fire onto him missing but now your bassically trying to kill Hailut who now is hanging by his sword several hundred feet up.)

(I thought you killed a shade by stabbing them through the heart only...? But okay >.>)
Andlarta's voice shattered in Hailuts mind. How dare you! she screamed. He felt waves of her fury and agony over Sive peirce his head. He was too weak to push her thoughts away. I will make you suffer until you beg for death... she hissed, coming in at a deadly speed. Sive and I will have retrubution!. Andlarta felt pain with Sive gone. He was fine, but so far away from her... It hurt almost, far greater than any physical pain.
Sive reappered in the stone ruins. He screamed in anger and fear for Andlarta. What has happened? Was she okay? He moved outside, looking around, memories flooding back... He lookes at the place were Maven killed herself... but forget her, he had Andlarta now as his partner. They were closer than any two beings could possibly get, and she was in danger. He'd return and they'd all pay with their blood!
Arya felt the mental bond slip even more.... "No...no..." she cried, looking around desperetly. She'd managed to stop the venom from spreading, but Leithan was still unconscisous and his breathing was barely there. She could feel his heart, slow, faltering. If he died, she didn't know what she'd do... She could hear the battle raging close. She did all she could for Leithan... It pained her greatly, but she was of no use moping around here. Arya knew herself to be a realist. Praying Leithan would be okay, she started to sprint towards Hailut.

(I forget which it was that killed a shade. I thought you hit them dead in the eyes to kill em :/ I will look it up, You can kill a shade Permanently through the heart. But in any other case they will be resurrected.)
Hailut grabed hold of the cliff with his feet waiting. He would attack the monster with all he has left. That would not be much but he had to do something to survive...

Terek stopped and turned to Aura." I can't reach him." He said. You're not even aiming. Aura growled and took Terek on her back. She flew towards Hailut and Blew fire at him.

Arya stood above Terek and Aura. Taking out her sword, she lept through the air, crash-landing on Aura. She knew it was crazy, but her fury only went to her head. She knew this was a bad idea too, but if Leithan died, she knew that it wouldn't be long before she folled suit. Aura flew up, trying to shake off Arya. Terek snapped around, drawing his sword. As Aura tried to crush Arya into the wall, both Terek and Arya almost fell. Seeing that she endangered Terek too she stopped, hissing anger. They were too close for her to do anything else. Arya lept at Terek as they flew higher and higher, swords flashing...
Andlarta, claws extended, swung at Hailut. Suddenly he was falling... Crying out, too weak to do anything, he suddenly was jerked up about thirty fee from the jagged rocks below. What? He looked up to see Andlarta holding him in her tallons. They dug into his flesh, cutting and slicing, but he was relieved. She hadn't let him fall to his death. Why? Don't think I won't drop you if you try anything... she warned as they flew higher, past the fighting couple of Arya and Terek. Andlarta was blind with rage. She wanted to kill this ignorant, stupid rider, but again she wanted to make him suffer. Once she was done with him she'd feed off of his stuipd dragon and make sure he was really dead. Hailut struggled against her vice-like tallons, but the more he struggled, the more the nails dug into his flesh.
Sive knew it'd take about two days of full riding for him to get back to where he was killed. Two days was a long time... He had already rode one horse to the ground and had left it there. It was easy to just steal another horse from some stupid human, get a quick rest and be on his way.

Horrion roared in searing pain as his legs shook and trembled. He stood up shaking off most of the anusia and pain that followed. His one leg had already failed him but the other three would have to do. He felt like poor Glaedr. Now he was about to be killed. He took up his wings to see them battered and torn. He looked to the wall and began to climb. His deep red skin and the dark shadows made him near impossible to see. He flattened himself against the wall. He shook slightly and kept the pain within him. He knew seperating his mind from pain would only make it worse. He had to wait until Hailut arrived. Togeather with their minds as one he would attack with no intent of remorse to kill the demon! She had hurt Hailut too much and she will pay with her life. Hailut's mind brushed hers. We approach. He flashed colors saying what he had ment... But not once did he say it verbally in his mind knowing Andlarta had control of it. Horrion shot up all his barriers knocking Horrion out. A tear fell down his cheek, it hurt to block him out like this and now he had felt half empty. But he knew what was best for both their survival. All around he drew in his mental power keeping it locked inside. He felt blind to the world as he drew his eyes closed. He shut his nostrils and kept still as possible. He would use the energy around him to feed his body that was deprived of oxygen.
Hailut struggled slightly flashing the colors in his mind as a secret code while Andlarta flew to the Trench where she believed the body of Horrion was. Hailut knew Horrion was still too weak to get up or even fight. He would not sit and watch him die! He stopped struggling as she pressed the blade-like talons into him. You know that we will have you dead by nightfall... You will lose the other rider as well. They are young and soon they will die as well as you. Imagine how much Sive is laughing from being seperated from you. He could just summon a new one of you- Andlarta hissed and clawed deeper into him. Silence! All I need to hear from you is the pain when I kill Horrion slowly infront of you. Trust me I will not use venom but a single claw to kill him slowly... Imagine Sive, already atop a new demon. Flying without a care about you. Probably thinks you died. But he could care less since he can summon a new little loyal dog for him to boss around... How I wish to kill you right now... But I will savor that for when I kill Horrion then you. Or prehaps make Horrion give me his Heart of Hearts to save you. Then I will slaughter you infront of him and after that, I will kill him.

Andlarta knew that Hailut only wanted to anger her, but it wouldn't work. What he said was all wrong anyway. She was bonded with Sive in a way like no other. He couldn't ever create a lathbarka again. She had his magic within her blood. Andlarta smiled. Hailut probab ly only wanted her to drop him so that he'd die a quick, painless death... Fool... she snarled... Let Terke and Aura die. They are ignorant and stupid...Terek is human at that... she added. She lothed them. They knew nothing and did nothing. Young, yes, but stupid. Now silence! she snapped. Circling high above, she saw that Horrion's body was no where to be seen. This made her uneasy. He must have woken and moved himself out of view... but how? Her venom should have destroyed his nervous tissue and spread through his blood. Where was he? She sent her mind out... He was nearby, probably too weak to fight or do anything... She smiled. She'd find him. What would be more cruel? To have Horrion watch his beloved rider die, or to have Hailut watch Horrion be slaughtred? She decided that she'd kill Hailut first. His magic was far more dangerous than Horrions given his state. Horrion was weak and would be easily defeated...
Arya stabbed at Terek. Their swords slid past eachother to the hilts, locking in place. They struggled to unlock, but suddenly a shift in Aura, sent both of them stumbling for balance and footing. Their swords flew out of their hands, falling to teh ground below. Swearing Arya launched herself at Terek, growling with fury. She grabbed at his hair, whispering fast spells to pin him down, paralyze him...
Leithan couldn't move, the pain was to much. It all started to come back to him. The shadow dragon. Suddenly searing pain ripped through him. Where was Arya? he couldn't feel her presense. Her mind connection wasn't there. Did that mean she was dead. He wanted to cry out in fear and sorrow.

Terek, Wake up! Aura cried, while she tried to fly still so Terek wouldn't fall off. Terek tried to stand up, he had only hold of one rien. He was using all his power to protect himself.

Arya tugged harder on his hair, making Terek grit his teeth in pain. Arya whispered frantic words. Good. He wouldn't be able to move. She stood over him, smiling with grim satisfaction. She should kill him, but perhaps he and his dragon could be reconverted from Galbatrox. They were so young and had a lot to learn still. She hoped, for their lives too, that they could change, or should the High Powers help them, they'd be killed. Terek cursed her in his head, unable to move his own lips. She'd only allowed his vital organs and systems to function, allowing him to keep breathing, ect. He glared at her, as Arya tied him down. "Now you stay put..." she said with a smile. Not that he had a choice... Arya looked around. She saw Hailut struggling with Andlarta. Turning back to Terek, she said "Tell Aura to follow the shadow dragon..."It took her a second to realize he wanted to reply, but couldn't. She snapped her fingers, to ease the spell. "No." Arya scowled. She drew a hidden dagger from her boot. "You will, or so help me, I will kill you," she said, losing her smile. She didn't want to, but they were at war. She would do what she must, and she knew what it was like to lose your soulmate and partner. She'd felt her mental tie with Leithan dissolve. That must mean that he'd died. She could barely contain her loss, but she would mourn properly once she'd taken care of these bastards... She could tell that he was talking mentally with Aura. She waited for his response. If they refused to listen to her they'd be sorry. Her mood over the death of her dragon wasn't to be tested.
Leithan tried to draw in strength from the surrounding life, but there was little life to take. He hated killing such innocent beings, but self preservation kicked in. He tried to sit up, but his lower half of his body was numb and wouldn't respond. Finally, tired and distraught, Leithan fell back to lie there. Arya was dead. He couldn't hear her thoughts any more. There wasn't even a trace of contact from her. Even when she was sleeping or unconsious, he always fellt her there. But now? He'd never in his life before felt so lonley.

Aura... Terek cried through his mind, he was afraid. He didn't want to die.Aura, please follow Andlarta. He wasn't going to try anything and he knew that Aura wasn't eather. They couldn't stand each other but they also couldn't life without.

Hailut watched as Andlarta drew close to the trench and looked. He looked down to see Horrion's body missing. He knew where he was for he brushed his mind before they shut eachoter out. He reached his arm back and drew an arrows from his quiver. With a lightning fast move he dug it into her skin and then with a bit of magic he sliced her tendon making her lose grip on him. He fell quickly but he knew what would happen. She would get angry and fly to catch him. She wanted a slow death... He began to fall into the trench and saw a black shadow draw above him. His eyes were blured but then he felt her claws dig back into him. Her mind battered against his and suddenly there was a whole presence inside of him. Little one... Now! Horrion drew frol the cliff and launched at Andlarta clawing her and both their minds pressed into hers. Their minds wiping against her shields while claws took at her body. The two of them found a slight gap and broke into her mind shattering the barriers. Andlarta and Horrion hit the ground hard. Horrion growned and pinned her down making her release Hailut. Hailut layed still from the deep cuts and used the power from the shrubbery around him to cease the bleeding. It would all need to be dealt with later but not now. He walked to Horrion and sat back ontop. What should we do with her? I can feel her thoughts and they are filled with violence. Binding promises and Sive's own. I had felt Sive's mind against mine and I knew that these two are one. Prehaps we can amke her vow to us never to attack us. Horrion put his foot ontop of Andlarta's head and showed his teeth. Maybe we should take her life. It would be easy like she how she was about to kill me. Horrion drew his neck up to strike. Or we can drain her of her life to barely living. Prehaps some mortal wounds and a curse. They will never be able to do anything to us. And think of how it would make Sive feel. Hailut suggested. He knew that she needed to die. But something inside him spoke. Prehaps... But let me at least ground her for life. Horrion looked at Hailut then to Andlarta. You two will die a slow painful death! I will make it so! SHe kicked at their presence within her but though wounded to where she could have won, their minds were far stronger. She finally gave. Hailut sat next to her head and held her at bay with his mind. We can kill you so easily. yet you think by shouting threats that you can live. We know that Sive can summon another of you should he need to. And we know that he would not even care. But so long as you still live he cannot. You best be quiet and make vows in the ancient tongue. Or Sive will have another pet of which we know how to kill. We will study you and all your little attacks, Whether dead or alive. It does not matter. But it is up to you... Do you want to reveal your secrets, dead? Or Alive to where one day you may be able to meet your precious Sive again...? Haulit stared at her waiting for the response.
Alvashar moved with the army. They were going south towards Gil'ead. He had felt several strong pulls of Hailut and Horrion. It was strange but over their time togeather they have bonded much like a newborn rider. It was good to know when their safe, but horrible to know something is happening to them and they might never come home. He hoped that they would. They needed all the riders they can get to defeat Galbartorix...

Andlarta curled her lip in distain and rage. She could smile at their ignorance if she wasn't in so much pain. No they were wrong. She knew that for sure. He had bound part of his soul with her. That can only be done once, never reversed. Very similar to that of a dragon's Heart of Hearts. It can never be reversed and it forever binding. But that mattered not. She also knew that the only way they could kill her was to kill Sive, permentally. But to say this was to endanger Sive. She'd never do that. What could she do? I will never bind myself to you... she hissed, eyes flashing red. Baring her teeth again,s eh struggled. Go ahead. Kill me...I will never betray Sive! Because the soul part went both ways. That was another draw back. They were closer than any dragon or rider could every hope to be. If she swore herself, Sive would also be sworn. It would be as if she spoke for both of them. Just kill me already! If they killed her, she would most likly end up where she'd been "born". They couldn't really kill her, but she wasn't sure if they knew that. There was only one way to find out.
Arya watched Andlarta plumet with Horrion to the ground below. Land right besides them. she commanded Terek. He told Aura, who grugdingly followed. Arya felt their hate as well as fear. She hated using them this way, but it had to be done. Hailut looked up at Aura and Terek. Thinking that Aura and Terek were going to attack, he drew back his bow, not seeing Arya.

Hailut watched them both near. I do not believe we can take them and control Andlarta... Neither of us is strong enough yet. Hailut looked towards them and saw their fear. It was also a smell lingering in the air. They fear us? Horrion asked and put his jaw around tthe neck of Andlarta. He would kill her if they came too close. Hailut drew his bow and sent an arrow flying at them. It bounced off and Hailut grabbed the magic that the arrow recieved and pulled it back to him. He replenished himself slightly and shot another arrow. Arya shouted soon after. "Stop shooting!" He stopped and both Terek and Aura landed. Arya jumped off and Hailut sighed. Mortally wound the stupid demon. We have something better...Horrion drew back his head and went to each leg, pinned them down and then ripped out a chunk of meat, He spit it out and then took another chunk. It would take a lot of power to put her back togeather when he finished, He felt her barriers shoot up and it took much of his control to put them back down. If he gave slighter she could draw her teeth for a lethal bite. He ripped off one of her legs and left her left side totally dismantled. He listened to her screams and roars of pain and terror. He hated not killing her. He hated even more that he drew harm to such a unique almost dragon-like creature. But he knew they were nothing but a demon. Horrion drew back his foot and stomped on Andlarta's head. It was strong enough not to crush, and kept her from going unconsious like he had wanted. But she should be in enough pain now... (Little greusome ) Horrion walked to Terek and jumped onto Aura. "Speak your name Forsworn! And tell me if you were bound to Galbatorix. Tell me all you know and I might just let you live, Or prehaps if you don't you can end up like her...[/i] He pointed and flinched at the sight. He best not let it show he hated hurting her. It would show a true weakness...

(that's fine... This is a pg13ish forum ) Arya looked over to Andlarta. She looked almost dead amongst the blood that pooled around her. She grimaced. Hailut... Arya inturpted, speaking through her mind so that Terek or Aura couldn't hear them. What? Hailut replied, a little annoyed. I don't believe they're bound. They don't know that much magic. I can't understand why Galbatrox would send such an inexperienced couple out to battle... Arya mused. Besides, they fear us. Be firm, but I don't think there's any reason for such grusome violence on their behalf... Arya said, glancing to Andlarta. Hailut nodded. "I need to go now though..." Arya said, averting her eyes so that Hailut wouldn't see her tears. She could barely hold herself together as it was. The sorrow and pain was too much to bare now. It was overwhelming, seeing Andlarta, Aura, Horrion. It didn't matter what side they were on, they had their soulmade. She'd lost her's. "Why?" Hailut asked, confused. He turned to look Arya in the eye and saw her crying, the tears falling freely, as Arya hugged herself. Then he realized why. "Where's Leithan?" Andlarta could feel Horrion tearing into her. She yearned to sink her fangs into him, but he was now cautious around her mouth, knowing what her venom was capable of. She tried to bring her mind away from her body so the pain wouldn't be so great, but Horrion had locked it into her body, preventing this. Tourture... She screamed over and over. She gritted her teeth. So they had known... if they killed her, she'd reappear else where, but in this state... She almost passed into unconsciousness from the pain, but something prevented her from doing so. If they didn't kill her permentally, they'd be sorry the day they'd been born. She'd make sure that her pain now would be three fold of what they'd experience... Sive fell off his horse as pain racked his body. "No!" he screamed, as he writhed on the ground. Andlarta, something must have happened... It felt like a burning inside his very soul. Gasping he tried to sever the mental bond between them. Impossible; he could only hope to damper it to a level or toleration. The stupid horse had kept going. Sive lay there motionless for almost five minutes before he had everything under control. Standing on shakly legs, he used a spell to call the horse back. He climbed on and gave the horse a good kick. He must find Andlarta. If she died and came back, he'd know it. But they were keeping her from dying and reserecting herself. Swearing he kicked again at the horse. By now the horse's sides were bloody and the animal nearly dead. It suited him though. Each time a horse died, he drew energy from it. Sive lept off just as the horse fell to the ground, never to move again. He looked at the ring on his finger. It was one of the many jewels that he'd used to store energy over the centuries. He might actually have enough in ring here to teleport himself to Andlarta. He'd done it one other time sucessfully. He was close enough that nothing could go wrong. He'd find the rider and dragon and tear them limb from limb. He'd cut them open and feet upon their entrails... His anger and pain seemed to clarify everything... Leithan drifted in and out of oblivion. At least there wasn't any pain... He seemed to move freely, his limbs flexible and strong. But it was like flying in total darkness. No matter how much he tried, he never rid himself of the darkness. It was so cold too. Arya wasn't here either... He could cry out from the pain, but then again, there wasn't any pain... no physical pain at least. It was that shadow dragon. She'd caused this!

You have any plans to get out of here? Terek asked Aura, desprete. No, but I hope that Sive has. And that he'll come soon. Aura whispered, she hoped that the two riders would have some pitty with them and leave them.

Sive appeared at the top of the trench. He immeditally dampened his aura and bent the light around him, as Hailut and Horrion had done, making himself invisible. Sive looked himself over for damage. Good. He was whole and healthy... He approached the edge, careful not the make any noise or touch anything that might attract anyone's attention. He almost reched at the sight. Andlarta lay there, bloodied and decapitated. His anger went through him like a hot wave. He could barely control himself from launching himself at Horrion and Hailut and ripping their heads off. He tried to contact her, but he knew that since they'd put numerous spells on her, they'd know if he made contact. Besides her pain would be overwhelming to him... He shuddered. This was the worst fate that could befall her. She would live, in any state, as long as he lived, eternal torment. He felt bile rise again to his mouth, making it burn. But he'd wait, though he didn't feel like being too patient now. Arya and Hailut were talking. That stupid rider. In this state, it'd be a very tedious battle. Terek and Aura were still young. He couldn't count on them. He could take Hailut down, but Horrion? Both of them combined might be a problem. If he could seperate them, for even a moment...

While Arya and Hailut were talking Aura noticed Sive. His smell was easy to pick up for her. Terek, Sive is here! Aura whispered, happy. But she tried to keep the scared and fearing look so she wouldn't betray him. She lay her head down and closed her eyes. She knew that Sive probally needed there help too, even if they weren't strong enough.

Horrion nudged Hailut. This is not our battle to be faught. The spells around them should hold them long enough. I have a bad feeling now and I want to get out now! Let us go Hailut. Some dark energy is here... Horrion had begun to walk out and Hailut jumpen up on him still clentching his wounds, as they walked out he drew all the energy he could pooling it into himself and first fixing Horrion's wings. Hailut grabbed Arya and pulled her up onto Horrion. "I greave for your loss... If you wish we can visit his body so you can pay your respects..." Hailut suggested. he looked at her waiting for a response. Terek and Aura began to rush towards them both free of their bonds. Horrion! Fly fast and strong! Hailut watched as they lifted off... Horrion neared the trentch's end and flew clear quickly climbing upwards. Hailut pulled out his sword from the cliff by calling the name. Horrion flew to the top of the plateu and skidded across, he dove down the other cliff's edge and flew over the massive bodies that still littered the ground. Hailut drew as much as he could enough to mend Horrion to his fullest. Then Horrion began to climb again using the dead's sickening smell and heat to rise quickly. Arya sat there still mourning and trying to hold on tight. He used a spell to hold her feet bound around Horrion so that way she did not have to worry. Leithan was gone... Hailut took his bow and quickly rushed to Horrion's tail taking up posistion. He drew his bow and shot at Terek and Aura. They dodged and deflected most but each one they did he tried to grab hold of the spell to break it. He could not breach their wards... They heard Andlarta roar in pain. I guess he is back... It would still be time before Andlarta returns to the air... Horrion looked over his shoulder. Youngling, I can take you quickly by Leithan if you wish. Just point where and I will bring you to him. But we best be off before long, Andlarta's power is slowly increasing...

Sive watched Horrion, Hailut and Arya fly by, only a few yards from him. He could've attacked them easily, but looking at Andlarta, he knew that he'd get them later. Andlarta was his priority. He looked at Terek and Aura who were close behind. They were foolish, going against the odds. Murmering a set of complex spells he layed them as a shield and barrier against them. They felt his magic and looked down, but of course, he was still invisible. Those spells would hold and strengthen the ones already in place. They’d be safe for the moment until he and Andlarta could help. He started to fall as he stepped off the cliff face, hand wiping out to snatch edges, controlling his decent. He landed besides Andlarta. His anger only doubled as he saw Andlarta in her state. It's okay... he said, as he started to funnel his magic into her, drawing it from around him too. The process of healing could be just as painful as it was creating the damage. He winced every time he drew her back together. Andlarta roared out in anger and pain. Sive continued to work, stripping away the spells that Hailut had cast. Time was of the essence.
Arya was silent for a while. Arya! Horrion said again. He needed and answer. Arya drew a slow breath and sent Horrion a mental image of where Leithan was. As she made mental contact with Horrion, Horrion was overwhelmed with her sadness. So this is what'd feel like to lose your partner... he thought morosely. Her thoughts and emotions were dark and dismal. Terek and Aura drove onwards, and were almost upon them, but since Arya had managed to help Horrion and Hailut and they were strengthened, she’d fallen silent and unresponsive. She didn’t seem cared or worried for that matter that they were still in danger. We’ll have to go back later… Hailut said. Aura and Terek are too close to us to allow us to land. They’d take advantage of that. We can’t allow them that. Arya shot him a withering glare. Bring me to Leithan… The only thing I care for is that I’m with him, Arya said. How can you be so selfish?! You don’t just endanger yourself with you’re your stupid actions! Hailut demanded. Arya shrugged. All I can ask is that you do as I wish… she said, looking as close to dead as a living person could manage. Hailut, don’t be so harsh. You can’t imagine all the pain she’s in… Horrion reprimanded. I felt her sorrow, her grief… Arya looked at the ground far below. If she just slipped off Horrion…It’d feel like flying. She could imagine herself with Leithan before she hit the ground…

Sensing Arya’s suicidal intensions, Hailut whispered a spell, keeping her pinned to Horrion. How dare he keep her imprisoned here against her will! Snarling, Arya whirled around. Her legs were pinned with magic to Horrion. She couldn’t’ even turn around fully to hit him! Arya reached for her small dagger…
Sive looked Andlarta over quickly. She shook out her scales and wings, stretching her healed body. Sive felt her affection for him through their mental bond. You returned…. she purred. Of course… I would always…you know that. I want their blood….. she hissed. Sive smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. Andlarta’s eyes turned red as she gave a war-like sherik before launching her and Sive into the air.
