Ryiah smiled. "Excellent..." she said. She looked back Zach at the clock. "I'll see you tonight then... roof..." she said with a smile. "Have to go, bell's going to ring. Tardiness is punishable, don't want detention when I'll be out on a midnight fiesta!" she said with a wink. Before Zach could say anything more Ryiah and her friends had left.
"Outbreaks?" Mekida said fiercly. "It's hard to see. You're first. Lead the way..." she said.

Zachary sighed, that was so clear, he thought negative. Still thinking over his decision he went back to class.
Aarold nodded, searching the vents for an outway, they would be looking there anyways, hard to stay. He jumped out, followed by Sam and Medika." If we could just steal an uniform." He said, watching the hall. Waiting for guys in uniforms maybe. There was a lot of noise in the building, footsteps and screaming. "How far for us to reach the place where they keep our friends?" He asked Medika.

"They're three stories down still!" Mekida said. "An elevators there!" she said. They rushed over. "Damn!" Aarold said. "They have it locked. You need a key to use it..." "Hold on. Keep watch, will ya?" Mekida asked, as she put her laptop up to the doors. About thirty seconds later, the doors opened. "Got it! Lets go. I think someone's coming!" she said.

Aarold nodded, waiting for Sam and Medika to enter first, before he went in. "Three stories down..." He said to himself as he looked over the buttons. He wasn't that good in calculations out of his head. Medika pushed the one they needed before he ever figured out which of the stories they had to be on.
"Roof." Zachary said to himself, it was almost afternoon, and he had no classes to follow today anymore. "Why the hell are we going to the roof." He whispered, even softer, so soft that it was almost like no word left his mouth. "Isn't that just the place teachers will be looking?" He lay down on the grass defeated, he would see, as soon as night fell, he would see.

Mekida leaned stiffly against the wall as they went deeper into the earth. She hated going into confines places. She got claustrophobic. Her hands shook. She especially hated going underground. "You okay?" "Yea, just fine..."

"You're not fine, Medika." Aarold said to her, looking concerned. "What is it?" "I'm.. just..." "Fine? You're afraid of small rooms, aren't you?" Aarold whispered, trying to not make it worse. "That's not fine! You have to go back." He feared for her, more than he feared for their mission. "Sam, get her back up." He took her shaking hands.

Mekida stuck out her lower lip. "No," she said, jerking away from Sam. "I'm fine. We have to get our friends. They're in more trouble than I am. Yes, you worry about me, but worry about them more than them. That's why I'm doing. I'll survive..." she said, with a weary smile. Suddenly the elevator froze.

Aarold looked at the roof and to the exit with drops of sweat falling off his forehead. "What happened?" He asked, turning to Medika again, he made sure he knew her every move, just in chase.
Zachary ran up to his room, opening the door, it was almost night. He just wondered, roof?

Mekida shook her head. "I don't know! And I can't get into the emergency controls.... Not from here. We have to get out. Into the elevator shaft. The lift will take us out. If we just wait here, we'll be sitting ducks!" Mekida said. "But if we leave, they'll suffer. Our friends."
Zach hit his fist on the windowsill in frustration. That was when he saw something white fluttering against the window glass. Huh? He grabbed it. A note.
What is up is down. Follow the first and seek the last. Look towards the rising moon as past. Tallest among some, smallest among none. IT, is the rose of the stars. - R
Zach took it, looking at it so intensely, that it just might give the answer away. "What?" he asked. How could this help him? He got the "up is down" that meant the opposite from roof. Floor? Basement? Follow the first. That meant what? Go to the roof still? Ah! he hated riddles... Flipping the paper over, he saw what it said on the back: This will be apart of your initiation. You must think and figure it out yourself. You have until the moon sets to find where we are. Ask none. Tell no one...

Zachary sighed, he sucked at riddles. He sat down on his bed, lay the note in front of his eyes and started thinking. But he knew himself, he wouldn't just be searching for an answer with trying to solve a riddle, he jumped towards the door, and got out. There was hardly anyone around in the hallways, he decided to go to the roof anyways, just to think, maybe. Talles among some, smallest among none. "Really, can they not just give me directions on a map or something, why act so difficult." He said, angry.
Aarold nodded, looking to the floor of the elevator, he saw an outway. "Stand back." He said to Medika and Sam, opening a trap door to the shaft. Then he opened his wings, falling down through the whole and holding himself up from falling the way down. "Medika, you're next." He said, and she jumped into the darkness in the shaft, followed by Sam. The shaft was hardly big enough for Aarold to spread his wings properly, but it was just enough to keep him up. They made their way down slowly, then reached the floor they had to be on. Now next was, opening the door.

(okay, here's a hint. go and check your messages ;D)
Mekida hovered. She felt her wind tops brushing the sides of the shaft. "She heard the wheels grinding. "Um, Aarold?" she asked, as he struggled to pry the doors open. "Yea? I'm kinda busy..." he said. "Well gett busier... The elevator is dropping. And unless we leave, we'll be crushed..." she said, as she watched the elevator.

(haven't got any O: )
Aarold looked up, and saw that Medika was right, he sighed and pushed his wings against the sides of the door. He got his fingers between the two doors and tried to pull with everything he had, only the doors didn't move, and the elevator was coming closer. He stared at Medika. "You've got something usefull in your bag?" He asked, and she handed to him a pen. It wasn't much, but it could help. He put the pen between the doors, using his hands as some kind of a hammer. But before he could even try again the door opened themselves. And they stared in the eyes of a man.

Mekida gasped, her wings vanishing instantly. Frightened, she wasn't sure if she wanted to face being squished y the lift or who ever this man was. "Aarold?" she whispered.

After thinking for half an hour he opened his eyes again to look at the moon, he was on the roof. Follow the first and seek the last. But he could have been totally wrong. Now he was looking at the rising moon, what was there to see. And he still couldn't figure out the "Talest among some, smallest among none." So, it had to be something big. The tree's in the forest weren't that big, but... The mountain was. Maybe it was the mountain. He had to be sure, right? Else he would be going the wrong way. He sighed, what did it matter. If he failed he would just forget about the whole thing easy, might get a few problems with it, but that's just it. He stood up, walking down again, going to the mountain. He only had to get past the watches.
Aarold kept silence, his wings disappeared too, but not as fast as that of Medika, so the man had probably seen them. "The Nightwatch." The man said, he was dressed in white, a long coat, with all kinds of samples in his hand. He was a scientist. "Surely not." Aarold gasped, he ran up to the man, creating his wings. And tackled him before the Scientist had to the chance to run away.

Mekida picked up a broken bar of steel. Heavy, but she was strong for her size. Hefting it more on her left side, as her other arm was still injured from the bullet. She hit the man over the head with it. He fell like a rock to the floor. "Oh my god, Mekida! You killed him!" Sam squeaked, shocked. Mekida looked, wide-eyed at the man. "No, just seriously unconscious. He'll be feeling that when he wakes..." Aarold said, getting off the man. "Oh. He looks dead..." "Heart's beating.... He'll live." Mekida was breathing heavily. She lowered the steel bar. It was heavy. "Should he live?" she asked, startling Aarold. "What?" he asked. It was unlike her to say such cruel things. Mekida was nice, self-sacraficing. "Nothing..." she said. "We have to get rid of him though. Put him in the elevator shaft. If he's lying down, the elevator won't crush him...." Mekida said with a smirk. "You know, if you hadn't done that we could've asked him where everyone is..." Aarold said. Mekida shrugged. "Sorry. But he could've hurt you..." she said, reaching into his coat. She took out a gun.

(I've just found out that I keep writing 'Medika' instead of 'Mekida'. xD, that's gonna end. )
"Give that to me." Aarold said, taking the gun from Mekida, he wasn't sure to trust her with such a weapon. "Well, lets hide him in the shaft." He took the scientist's body and dragged him to the elevator, while making his wings disappear again and with his hands grabbing the many samples that the man had still in his hands. When he came back out of the shaft he leaded Mekida and Sam into an empty room, where he took a good look at the samples. "Blood samples." He said, shaking the four he had taken away from the scientist. "We did good by intercepting these samples, I don't want anyone finding out how... it works." He looked at Mekida, they had made an anti poison for what he created, using blood samples mainly. He walked to a sink and threw everything in it, then turned around. "Let's go on." He said.

"Okay, what now?" "I think it's down the hall. There should be a main lab facility...." Mekida said, looking at her laptop. "Aarold..." she said. "If it comes to it, will you be able?" she asked. They both knew whalt she meant. He'd made a anit-serum. It could reverse the pill. But once you've taken it, you could never fly again, no matter how many pills you took. It was permanent. She'd asked that if they had to take the anti-pill would he do it.

"If I have to, yes. But I rather keep that behind, as our last resort." Aarold said, he didn't want to discus the anti-pill. He wanted this to get over with, to free everyone and send them away, deep in the forest land where The School wouldn't be able to find them, until he could get back the contact with the Rebels and get them to take every NightWatch in.

They managed to evade guards and doctors. "Aarold!" Mekida squeaked. The room they entered must be the lab. Computers and machines everywhere. "Look at everything!" Mekida said, looking at the closest screen. They were running DNA. "What if they've already found out?" Mekida whispered, as they watched scientists mill around the machines. "Their technology is so much better... I wish I had that computer!" she said, eyeing the sleep steel computer on the counter. "What I could do with that..." she sighed. "But this is the wrong room anyway. We need to find the holding cells"

Aarold nodded. "I just wanna know how much they've already discovered." He said, crawling to the computer that Mekida had pointed at. From there he was able to see a big monitor, on which the scientists had been writing down what they thought. He tried not to laugh as he saw all the different formula's. He crawled back to Sam and Mekida. "They're not even close!" He whispered. "So, we have no worries, yet!" He leaded both of them out of the room, the holding cells couldn't be much further.
Zachary stared at the mountain. What is up is down He just hoped that that meant that he didn't have to go the whole way up. He sighed and began to circle the mountain, hoping to see a glance of a person with wings.
