Horrion drew a wide circle and then went in low. Hailut waited on the tail and then a volly of billista hit them. Hailut had barely any time to react. he looked at seveal of the billista and used no words as he cracked them in half. He fell off Horrion and started to fall from the sky. Horrion dove and turned upsidedown and caught Hailut with his large talon-claws. Hailut are you well? Horrion went to his mind but it was nearly dead... Horrion wasted no time and used his own strength to help. But it was no use... Hailut was unconsious... THe volly struck at Horrion's wings and then he fell from the sky. He opened his tattered wings only enough to slow him as he hit the ground hard. Horrion drew in his wings and started to stand. He would not go down without a fight...
Alvashar nearly fell. Their names are Hailut and Horrion? he looked into the sky to see the dragon fall to the ground. "Hailut!" Alvashar began to limp faster then usual. Pain shot through his leg but he could not let that stop him... Hailut was nearly a brother to him. They both trained themselves in the arts of healing... The elves quickly drew a circle around the wounded dragon. Horrion drew back his neck and began to let loose a low growl. The dragon seemed to gone primal trying to defend its master... There would be no use in trying to contact its mind... Alvashar had seen it before when the Forsworn entered their village and attacked Horrion... They had nearly died but they didn't... The elven guard kept them at bay but even then it seemed that Horrion would kill anyone who dared went close.
-X- Horrion looked at them all the strange vermin that had hurt them both... But they were friends but yet they attacked without mercy... There was a low laughter upon their minds... Hushed whispers of them all talking that they finally took down Thorn. Horrion thought to himself and growled. My name is not that of a traitor! He roared in more of a dragon's tongue. They would not take Hailut. Not even if He had to die to save him. His master was his only true ally in this world... He looked to the sky and shot out a twenty foot blue flame with a loud roar and then looked at Arya and Leithan which floated in the sky watching. Those two had betrayed them telling them that they were traitors... It must have been them! Horrion thought to himself and then opened his bleeding wings and flapped once but it was futile and only hurt as his wounds re-opened. He let loose another growl and then fell to his knees. His head quickly dazed around. He looked up and around and saw a familiar face. He thought to himself Little one's helper? Yes he knew this one... he had helped before when the Green-scaled traitor attacked.

Aura landed, her claws resting in the hard ground. Terek jumped off, he looked around, first at the people on the ground, then up. He saw the the creature. Aura! Is that what you sensed? He kept his eyes on the big monster. It's beautiful, in a strange scary kind of way.

(Galadas, are you talking about Sive and Andlarta? I'll assume so...)
We need to do something! Arya thought. She watched, with mixed feelings. What can we do? They're not Thorn and Murtagh. Fine! We'll save them. We'll get facts straight... Leithan thought. He tucked his wings and dove like an arrow. He shot out a blaze of fire in warning, too far away to harm anyone. Arya spread her mind out, feeling to see if Haiut was dead. Good, he was a live, but barely. The elves cleared room for Leithan. Arya did what she usualy did, and jumped off about fifty feet from the ground, landing easily. As soon as he'd landed, the elves rushed in. Leithan bared his teeth in warning. He'd help, but not if it mean Arya would get hurt. Stay close. Just in case, Arya said. You needn't say that... I'll always be here, Leithan responded. "Get back, all of you!" Arya commanded. Horrion growled at her, flames licking around his toungue. Leithan lunged forward in warning, fangs showing. Horrion was too weak to resist Leithan who restrained him as Arya approached. She turned, eyes dark. "I said get back...." she hissed. "Lower your weapons. Lower your weapons!" she repeated, until finally they did. More and more were crowding. I'll need your strength... she warned Leithan. They understood what she meant to do, even though he didn't like it. But they knew that they could easily overpower them in their weakened state. She took a breath and threw her mind at Horrion. She clenched her fist. He was resisting her mental assult, but Leithan added, and with Hailut still unconscious, Horrion's walls finally collasped. As soon as Arya was she yelled, Wait! Horrion. I can help. It's not what you think. We need to see Hailut. Let us see him. He's dying. Let me help. I don't know if you really side with the Empire, but I need you to let us examine your minds. If not, they'll kill you. They will kill you both.

Hailut's mind dazed and shot around as he saw through Horrion. As soon as the walls fell he surrounded his own mind. Horrion... no! He thought to himself silently and then felt dead inside... No more did the dragon's thoughts linger in him. It was only for a second but already it was too long. Hailut sent a mental wave to Horrion and blended his thoughts. Feeling Arya he shot her out with ease helping Horrion get his walls up. Togeather they seemed to overpower the two... Then his mind went black and he felt Horrion take both their minds over. It is okay little one...
Alvashar walked up close and then pushed Arya aside. "Allow me..." Alvashar walked straight to Horrion who shot a snap at him but he continued forth no matter what. He put a single hand on the tip of Horrion's massive head and Horrion calmed. Alvashar went to the side and always kept a hand on him. Arya looked in confusion to what Alvashar was foolishly doing. A wounded dragon is the most dangerous of any animal... But yet Horrion calmed to the man's touch... Alvashar kept walking always keeping a hand on him then proceeded to the dragon's biggest wound. He put both hands around it and began to heal it slowly. Horrion calmed and laid his head down but kept his eyes open.
-X-
I roared in hatred as they invaded my mind without permission. I struggled to fight them but it was outmatched... I was weak... They told me what I already knew and soon I felt the Little one's presence inside my head. I roared with my mind and body shouting. Get out of my mind! Soon we overcame them... I struggled to stand yet again but it only worsened my wounds. I looked at them and then fell limp for a few seconds before raising my head. The little one's friend approached. I knew he was here to help but I attacked anyways... I could not let him hurt me or the little one. My mind would not allow it but then he touched my nose... He calmed my mind. I laid my head down and rested as he walked to heal me. Always keeping a hand on me. Soon i felt the largest of my woundes heal and I waited as the tingle vanished and anew began. Then the Traitors came close and I growled in hatred. They invaded my mind without permission and soon as I am healed... I will get them back for it... They may be strong togeather but not as Strong as I and the little one... I knew this well.. They continued forth and I growled deeper but they still approached. I tried to scare them and warn them but I was in no state. Soon Leithan put his foot on my neck and held me as Arya passed. The young dragon will pay for this one... But I was glad he did... My primal instinct was to eat her as she came close... She went to Hailut and I felt him struggle in his mind to fight her. I took over his mind. Be still little one... They mean no harm... The pain began to cease along my right side and so I rolled to the left and allowed the little ones friend to continue.

Leithan was still nervous and wary as he back away to join Arya. She was too far from him. It made him unconfortable. Arya grasped Hailut to prop him up. She examined him again to see if he was injured. Healing all of the important wounds, she pushed into his mind. He was mentally alert, but his body was unconscious. Are you well? she asked. She took his sword from his belt. It made her feel better, if he didn't have a blade by his side. That still didn't mean he wasn't dangerous.
Sive stood strong and tall on Andlarta. He opened his arms wide, feeling the ebbing strengh of the dying flowing into him. He sensed and drank in the fear and pain. What a wonderful feast! Andlarta was strengthened through Sive. They did another large circle before decending. She gave a large shreik, heading towards Aura and Terek. She looked as if to crash into them. Aura acted fast, baring her teeth to protect Terek, but Andlarta made a fast move, way too agile to be a dragon, veeringn off and landing some yards away, a sharp grin on her face. Sive jumped off. He looked at Terek. The last time he'd seen Terek, he had been a human, not a rider. Sive twirield his black sword, so that it made a whistling sound.

(Was going to save the blade's actualy enchantment for later but...)
Hailut responed in his mind. I am alright... What of Horrion? I sense his anger.... He rested his mind to know that Alvashar was healing Horrion and that soon he will be able to be next to Horrion. He already knew and then Horrion was in his mind I am fine... Sleep well child... The cold touch of the blade suddenly begame a firey agony and then Arya felt a mental blow... It was sudden and unexpected. The blade seemed to speak into her mind and suddenly her mind was shot into a dream. Arya was quick and smart enough to drop the blade. But the agony in her palm continued for a second before vanishing... The blade is called Dream... He said in the ancient tongue. I suggest you do not weild the blade... His mind was suddenly gone as Horrion took charge. Out of the Little One's mind! Horion growled. He rose but still was weak as he walked to Horrion.
Alvashar walked with Horrion still mending his wounds... Now working to the lesser ones. He kept Horrion calm by touch he knew and so he would have to keep him calm.

Leithan gave a low howl, almost a moan, as Arya's pain was his own. Arya almost cried out, the pain was unbearable, but she set her jaw. It was over as soon as it'd started. She looked at the sword. Leithan was there in a heart beat, between Horrion and Arya. He growled, unfrightened by Horrion's obvious larger bulk. Horrion growled back. Tension built for a few moments as the two dragons stared each other down. Tremors of rage shook Leithan, making his scales wave and shimmer. Arya contacted Leithan. She didn't want a fight. Arya snapped bat at Horrion How dare you say anything! she hissed at him. She tried to keep cool, but she was tired and irritable. Horrion was just making her mood worse. They'd shot you through long ago if it hadn't been for Leithan and I. I thought you might be wise enough to see that I'm helping. But you're only making things worse. So back off! she pushed back, giving Horrion a mental shove. His anger and defensivness wasn't helping her concentrate. She rubbed her temples. She leaned on Leithan's massive shoulder for support, suddenly lightheaded. Hailut had been seriously injured it had taken a lot of her strength to heal him properly. Once things were situated, they were still needed to have their minds examined, it was law. Arya knew that now was not the time to inturrupt. Things were way too tense. If Horrion were to get angry and attack, Leithan would be there to defend. And someone would get hurt.

Terek looked at Sive a bit suprised, where did he know him from again? He wanted to approach the strange rider, but Aura kept him back. He could sense her fear and shock for that other dragon. He couldn't care less.

Sive looked at his blade, seeing his black eyes refelected in it's sharp surface. "Ah, well, this is the first time I may introduce myself to your dragon..." Sive said, with a smile that was anything but nice. "Last time I saw you were nothing but a tiny human..." He paused. "I'm suprised that Galbatrox has decided to let you fight..." Terek scowled, but said nothing. Sive took in Aura fear with another unpleasant smile. "I now have a pair of wings..." Andlarta moved closer, making Aura feel uneasy. Andlarta was about the same size as Aura, as dragons are bigger than lathbarkas, but Aura was young. Andlarta was entirely black with sharp scales covering her. Her eyes were red. She could've been mistaken as a dragon, but one that knew what dragons looked like would know Andlarta was not one. Andlarta barred her teeth.

Horrion Leaned foward and nudged Leithan aside and encircled Hailut. Alvashar put his hand back upon Horrion. "Keep calm Horrion..." Alvashar looked to Leithan. "You as well. There is no need to start a civil war between you two!" Alvashar looked to Hailut and said a few words of an Awakening spell. Hailut quickly got up and hugged Alvashar. Hailut stopped suddenly and broke the hug then put to fingers to his lips and reciting the same greeting in the ancient tongue as Alvashar has done the same. "I forgot the more traditional way then that of the humans way. It seems many years being seperated from you has caused my mind to be more towards humans..." he spoke softly almost a whisper. Alvashar looked at him. "To you my friend I would think none other. It has been long... What has it been almost eighty years?" He chuckled. "Arya this is my Friend Hailut. He had served the elves before you two were even born." he chuckled again. "There is no need he is already our friend and such we will treat him..." He looked more towards Leithan now. "Understand?" Alvashar seemed to be the only man who would disrespect a dragon by actually talking to them as if they were no more then a human or elf. Hailut walked up to his sword which lay upon the ground and then called for it. "Draumr" The sword shone then faded away as he reached for it and then weilded it with ease putting its scabbard upon his back and the sword within it. "Is the queen ready to see me?" He asked politely. "Ah she would expect Thorn not you. But nonetheless she is ready. Sorry about the commotion I have thought you died long ago by that Forsworn..."
Horrion walked besides the two and looked back to see Arya. They stayed quiet probably speaking about them... Horrion blew a puff of smoke in a bit of stress for He could not read their minds. They had an impressive fortification up and it would have been fun to- Will you please not think such thoughts of our new allies? Hailut asked mentally as he spoke to Alvashar. But they would have killed us if they had the chance. I do not trust these two. Horrion growled inside his head. But we need them in order to face Galbatorix... It will be a tough fight. How I would love to taste- Horrion! Hailut warned. Galbatorix not them little one... I would not dare hurt any of your friends even if I disagreed with you completely. You could be friends with Murtagh and I would stand beside you... Though I rather bite their heads off but that for some reason, would only upset you... Do they have anything to eat around here? Hailut chucked Always thinking of food are we? "Alvashar Horrion is in need of food. Got anything the size of a buffalo?[/i]

Terek still didn't say anything, not because he didn't wanted, but because he still thought why Galbatorix had let him into a battle. Were they losing? Did he need support so badly?" They're nice." He said after a while." The wings." He smiled a bit, unsure.

Arya watched Horrion go. She didn't know what to feel. Relief? Happiness? Anger? irriataion? She could feel similar feelings from Leithan. Do you trust them? she asked. It is necessary. Leithan replied bluntly. But really, do you? She asked. She wanted to know. Yes. I trust Hailut, not Horrion. But you have to count a dragon and rider as one in many cases. So I would have to say yes. I guess so. I'm eager to see what news they have. We could learn from them. But then again, this could be a sign, or a change. I don't know what I should take their coming of. Arya patted Leithan before walking on. She would need to be present with the queen.

Sive almost laughed, his eyes sparkling dangerously. "Compliments to Andlarta..." he said with a bemused smile. "Orders from Galbatrox are to survey the feild. Under no cirrumstances are you to engage unless told. The soldiers will hear of another dragon and they will fear the worst. Word will spread and bring hopelessness with it. I as well will help, though Andlarta is not a dragon." He smiled again before jumping onto Andlarta. "Follow my lead..." Sive called as he asended. He didn't know exactly Galbatrox wanted him to do, as Galbatrox didn't know he had Andlarta now. But he was always great at improvising.

Alvashar led Hailut into the large tent. He then went to the right side of the Queen and sat. Around them were about twenty heavily armed guards. Their shields and armor all seemed to pulse with wards and magic... clearly each one had several magicians. It was not like the queen to leave the safety of the forests But she needed to be with her troops to command more easily. Hailut pressed his fingers to his lips repeating the entire greeting to the Queen. "Atra esterní ono thelduin Mor'ranr lífa unin hjarta onr Un du evarínya ono varda." He said. She pressed her fingers to her lips and in the ancient tongue said. "Greetings Hailut Shur'tugal" she stayed seated and then put her hand back to her lap. "So you lived through the Forsworn's attack... Alvashar and I believed you dead many decades ago. And I see that you have not joined them, Alvashar surely would have scanned your minds." Hailut glanced to Alvashar. Alvashar suddenly whispered into the Queen's ear and the guards all seemed to put a hand on each of their weapons tightening their gip. "If I may M'lady I would assure you that no harm will come to your elves, should they stay out of our mind..." Hailut spoke softly. He looked at the enterence to see Arya walking in. She pressed her fingers to her lips and spoke the greeting. "Greetings Arya... Hailut may I remind you that If such would happen. I would have no problem dealing with the execution of you myself." She spoke in a harsh tone. "You have my wyrd that I will not ever lay pain to any warrior, should they stay out of our mind. We do not like people tresspassing in our mind to the thousands upon thousands of secrets... It would be a waste to make you have to do anything such as waste an entire day and many magicians to scan my mind." Hailut replied harsher then needed. Little one... Be nice Horrion spoke in his mind. Horrion loved the queen way too much for Hailut to be so rude to her. Do not worry of me... Play nice with Leithan. Horrion added, Both Horrion and Leithan had really no access to see what is happening within the tent, so they remained outside. The queen sighed. "Arya what news do you bring for us about the battles near Surda?"
Alvashar watched both the conversations and stayed quiet. He knew that the queen would deal with him soon and that he will be in more trouble then needed. Hailut did seem a bit edgy about the questions and a whole lot more angered then usual. But it was not like they were giving a good welcome party...
Horrion looked at the smaller dragon and then layed down and put his massive head upon equally massive feet. He studied Leithan's face and noticed almost everything. Young one... What bothers you so much about me? Horrion looked at the smaller dragon and watched as he too layed down and rested his head yet kept his on all four feet ready to pounce or attack.

Arya felt hersel stiffen. She'd heard what they were talking about before. Someone should scan their minds! They could be spies, or, or... Better be safe than sorry, Arya thought in annoyance. But Alvashar trusted them, she should too... Arya gave a small bow again. "We spoted a new rider and dragon. I was heading back when I met them," Arya said, motioning to Hailut. "I've found that the dragon is named Aura, but I do not know what the rider's name is..." Arya preceeded to tell apperances. She paused, as if thinking about saying something. "There was a er... feelin that I got. I thought it might've been Horrion, but I think now I was wrong." The queen raised a delicate eyebrow. "A feeling?" "Yes, a feeling for lack of a better term. It was as if the land itself was trying to hide. It was something sinister, something evil. As I said, a feeling. Leithan and I both felt it. I don't know what is."
Leithan was listening through Arya. He heard Horrion, but he chose not to respond for a moment. He finally settled down, facing in a defensive position towards Horrion. Leithan racked the dirt with his claws, creating deep furrows. What bothers me? Oh, well lets see. We're in the middle of a war and you just could be our enemy as likley our ally. I don't know if we can trust you two, though I hope we can. But how can we if you two refuse to get your minds even slightly examined? Leithan said in irritation. He hadn't meant to say that much, but he was tired, hungry and annoyed. Besides, he had a knawing uneasyness from what he and Arya had felt on their flight home.

Terek nodded, he turned to Aura. He waited for her to make place for him on her back. I thought that you didn't want to fight? Aura asked through his mind. Terek shook his head and climbed on Aura. It's not like I have much chose... He said and kept his eyes on Sive and his monster. I'm very curious what it is. Meaning Andlarta by it. Aura nodded, while jumping up in the sky, following Sive.

Andlarta wove through the air currents. She tapped into the thoughts of the soldiers below. Even the Empire's soldiers were in shock at the sight of her. She felt tremors of fear from the Varden's forces. They had no idea that there was two dragons, well dragon and lathbarka, but who could tell what she was from her height? She made giant circles, too high up to be shot at by anything. She gave another peircing scream before diving. She enjoyed the surge of adrenline and Sive's surpise. Stop doing that! Sive said. We aren't to attack yet... be patient, we'll have our fill yet... They looked back to see Aura and Terek. Good. Let it all be a mental game of wits and will. Who will stand? Usually it was all in your head on who was going to win. Scare them out of their minds and the battle is easily won.

The Queen sighed slightly and looked to Hailut. "What can you make of this?" She asked quietly. Hailut took a deep breath. "It feels like the time Durza came to be under Galbatorix, There were two waves of this blight... As well as the time Eragon defeated Durza... It would seem now that it was not that of a defeat. I would have sensed the world cleansed but it feels more like anew arises. Something darker. I have no idea what this could be but you know as well as I that it will soon be upon us." He looked to Arya to see her concern and then made a mental note before continuing. "I believe what ever it is belongs to Galbatorix but it was not he who created this fiend." Alvashar steped forth and went to Hailut with silent whispers they spoke. "You know as well as I that you cannot stay much longer... These guards are fighting with the queen to kill you before you speak again... Please do not speak in such hateful words. Show respect, I warn you like I've done before... They also want me to examine your mind, they hope that me being what were once would make you think twice before striking me down." He ended the whisper and stood by Hailut, looking to the Queen. "Alvashar, have Hailut put into the tents. I must speak with Arya alone." He motioned the guards to Hailut and they left the tent. The Queen looked to Arya. "Tell me about this new rider, who do they stand for?"
Horrion stood up and saw Hailut leave the tent. Leithan. You think I am part of the Forsworn? You are dead wrong. Never will I betray my kind. Horrion neared Leithan and he stood up and looked at up at him. Young one you must trust I, Soon we will be in battle where no trust could kill us both. There are dark times... I have seen creatures that are like us. They are controlled by Galbatorix. If you should ever trust me, you should do so soon. Horrion looked to Hailut and smirked. Tell Arya to meet us by the fields south of here... We shall teach you much we learned over our years... Horrion walked besides Hailut, Without a second glance Hailut jumped upon his head. Horrion raised his neck so Hailut could see from dragon's eyes.

Aryan nodded thinking. "My Queen, the dragon and rider seem young. No one has heard of them before, so the dragon must be a hatchling. Is it the last egg that Galbatrox has in his posestion? I would like to assume so, but I am unsure. He has many secrets and surprises. As with the unexpected appearance of Hailut and Horrion, it could well be expected that he has another egg. Though Thorn, now this dragon, Aura and Saphria were the last of the three eggs. But like myself, there was another egg in your posestion," Arya noted. "They do not have much, if any fighting experiance, but Galbatrox, I'm sure is soon to put an end to that. If they are captured, they may be young enough that we are to secure them. I don't think Galbatrox would let him fly unwatched though. As another thing, Galbatrox might not have found their true names. I didn't want to risk getting seen. There was a battle raging between the Empire's troops and the Varden. The Varden did seem to be winning, but the day is long..." She paused to take a breath and to gather her thoughts. "This is the most I may gather from my expedition."
Leithan looked at both of them. Be as it may... Leithan said to Horrion. We will meet you there.
