Lena saton the bed in the small ramshakle of the inn. Sitting there she fingered the neclkace with the black stone. He hoped tha ther sisiter would find her neclace and remember her. She couldn't help but worry. She needed to calm down. She openend the window, wantingmore fresh air to flow through the room. Nausica had been her home until... then... the accident. Her family, her sisters, her twin sister! She opened her staff and jumped out the third story window and into the dawning day...

"Hey, bro', get up, get up!" Rel shouted rather happily at her brother, Sirven who lay motionless in bed. He was always a sound sleeper; He never got up for anything, though everytime Rel spoke to her brother as he slept, she was posotive that he could hear her. "I've got food, Sirven!" She said, a bit louder this time, in a more playful tone. This time, her brother shot out of bed, his bright brown eyes still ajusting to the light as he tried to fix his knotted auburn hair. He looked over at her, a bit of a clueless look on his face, and Rel returned his look with a solid grin. "Food." She said, "I got food! A buck, Sirv!" She said, now jumping up and down happily. "Come and see!" Rel said, now rushing into the kitchen. Still bewildered, Sirven followed her into the kitchen, sleepy-eyed. But when he got to the kitchen, his eyes grew wide and he also, started to flash a big smile, for the first time in months. He picked up his little sister and happily twirled her around. "Rel!" He said, now setting her down and going over to the Buck. "How did you get this?! Did you-" He looked up at Rel, now as serious as he could ever be, narrowing his eyes and looking at her suspicously. "Rel...You didn't...Did you?" He was almost afraid to ask, or so it seemed so in his voice. "I'm sorry, Sirv..." She began, but he cut her off. "Rel, I've told you a million times not to go out late at night! You don't know what might be out there!" He said, now standing up and going over to what was left of the stove. "It is wonderful that you brought this here...But..." He shook his head and turned around now to face Releane, who looked quite ashamed of herself. "You need to be careful...If anything were to happen to you, Releane..." He sighed, and now nealt down to the Buck and began to carve out the meat. Rel said nothing for a moment. "I'm sorry, brother, but we were going to starve otherwise! We needed to get something, and I wasn't going to just stand by and watch us die! You know that!" She was now glaring at him, fighting back at him with a good argument. Sirven sighed once again, but he said no more as he put the meat on the stove and watched it burn.

Lena walked through the woods. Shadowfall sat on her shoulder. It was about noon and the sun was bright even through the trees. She walked towards the fifth gate. She needed to see someone, a friend in the water realm. As she neared the cliff the outline of the door appeared. She smiled and took a good wind shifting stance. And with a practiced motion shifted the wind... A symbol (the water realm symbol) on the door appered and then faded. Lena walked through dissappearing into the stone.
(that is kinda what the gates look like. You have to "bend" or "shift" your element to get through. There's different moves you do to get to each realm)

Hey, in my bio I said that I can converse with nature since I am of the Earth Tribe Rakola. You mean you didn't read it?
Seda tensed for a few moments before letting out her breath in a low hiss. Nothing, only a wandering boar that was lost. Even though, she felt uneasy; this part of the forest was often so thick with vegetation that even she had to sometimes call back the plants to pass through. How could a wild animal make it into this area so easily?
Pushing aside her feelings, Seda patted Artaziad on the head comfortingly and squeezed through a cedar grove. What she saw made her go wide-eyed with fear and shock.

Ellow tossed some bread into the pond for the fish and fed the rest to Jimpe, who was perched on her shoulder. She looked at her reflection, wondering for the millionth time where she came from. Her features were about as revealing as your parents are when you first ask them "Where do babies come from?" She smiled as Jimpe tried to catch a magnificent rainbow fish that was bigger than he was. She pointed him towards a small sunfish, saying "You gotta walk before you can run, sweetheart." He made an angry noise that sounded suspiciously like a human's grumbling, and headed towards the fish. Despite her peaceful happiness, Ellow kept a hand on the knife at her side, knowing that it was peace of mind that had killed many of the people of the water realm.

The rising light of the sun polluted the night sky. Xar sighed and looked about with a bit more ease. Finally, he could see. Since he left the village, what laid outside of the trail was a little unclear to him. It occured to him that maybe he should have made camp. Looking ahead, he made outlines that had his veins pacing with excitement. A town! Picking up his pace, he jogged towards the still distant town. This was his big chance to figure out where he would find a teacher. Nearing the town, he slowed down to a mild walk. Children were already running about playing. Small feet were getting wet from the dew of last night. He came to the first set of buildings and noticed that he was entering the village square. Looking around, he searched for someone who he could ask about a teacher for him.

"Oh man! That was one heck of a buck." Rel said, completely stuffed from all the meat. Even though she and her brother had eaten until they were full, there was still quite a bit of leftovers that would no doubt last them until the end of next week. Rel smiled as she lay on the same hill that she did the night before. It was mid afternoon and she was already getting bored. "Maybe it's time to explore..." She thought outload, sitting up. "What do ya' think, Hinar?" She turned to look at her snow white fox, who seemed to feel satisfied with her idea. Rel then shot straight up and walked outwards towards the forest she'd adventured in the night before. "Maybe it'll be funner in the daylight..." Hinar followed her, close behind.

Seda halted her yelp just in time. Humans, more than she had ever seen, were slashing and burning the trees. Animals were fleeing the forest, but most were killed by the humans even before they got clear. The flames were spready steadily into the thickets. The girl backed into the forest, and leaned against a sturdy trunk, gathering her thoughts. She had to alert Grandma! She may be able to stop them. Turning, she sprinted into the smouldering forest, Arta at her side.
She had gone no more than ten paces when a thick, scaly object fell from the canopy. Seda rolled her eyes and deposited the serpent on Arta's back. "You stay there," she warned, and continued her sprint. Arta grunted a protest, and they wove deeper into the forest. Jokuul told her his news along the way, in anxious hisses.
Seda was out of the forest when she saw it. In the daylight, it was clear that the thing was not from this realm. The girl stopped and reached out her hand to the smooth rock. It was almost like a door... Without thinking, she simply reached into the core of her power and drew out a thin tendril. It blossomed green light, and once it touched the rock door, a water symbol appeared. Not recognising it but driven by curiosity, she walked into the gateway, followed by her friends.

He had no idea who to ask where he would find a teacher. Baffled as he was, Xar walked over to a bench and sat down. The town square was beginning to fill with life. Aside from the children running around, shops were beginning to open and people were coming out of their homes to explore the new day. "What's to come of me?" he whispered. Looking around, he noticed a baker putting bread out on shelves. Steam rose up from them into the morning sky. Standing up, he walked over to the baker. "Sir! Could you tell me where I can find a water master?" The baker turned around and looked at Xar. "A water mashter, hm? Well then..." the baker reached up and rubbed his knubby chin "There is only one place that has water master's now. Of course, there are some everywhere else, but the known teachers of Farsea are at its capital." "Thank you!" Xar bowed to the baker and looked back to the center of the town square. Now to find an inn. Reading signs hanging over the shop doors, he spotted a sign that read The Serpent's Nest. That must be one. Walking over to it, Xar entered the building, a small bell jingling as he opened and closed the door.

(sry, long post)
Lena took flight immediately. She was hungry and was too tired to go and hunt. She unleashed Shadowfall to go and hunt. She's find a town and a place to sleep. She landed on the outer edge of town. She brushed her dark blue robes off and tied back her hair. She put up her black hood over her face, trying to conceal her eyes that brought enemies from all corners. She walked down the street. She stood out horribly. She went into a bar and got a quick drink and a piece of salted meat and bread. Then she quickly made her way through the street to find an inn. She'd heard tha The Serpents Nest was good for bedraggled travelers. So Lena made her way there. Outside the door a large man looked over the crowd. "Hey you there!" Lena stopped. "yes?" "Give me your staff, no weapons allowed in the Serpents Nest." "But this is an antique and isn't a weapon..." Lena said innocently. "Sorry miss, no entry." Lena glared at him under her hood. A man from behind laughed and pushed her, she fell forward, but as she did she twisted and her hood flew back. The man gasped: “Viclan, Viclan (fire)!!” Lena scrambled back, no, no. I’m from Viente, I’m a wind shifter!” The crowd bristled with fear and anger, pushing in on her with the force of a thousand angered souls. Lena took a stance and took duel bladed fans from her belt. She snapped them open with a practiced move and threw herself at the persecutors…

The small inn was actually full of wary patrons. Walking over to the inn-keep (as he supposed that's who it was), Xar asked for a room. "Payment?" Bristled the man in an eerie voice. Xar hesitated for a moment. He had no money. Nor did he have anything to trade. "I'm sorry to have wasted your time." Quickly, he bowed to the innkeeper and turned to leave the building. Outside he heard the commotion of a brawl. A little fearful of exitting the building without any means of protection and no knowledge of what he was capable of. Xar stood transfixed by the noise. Pulling his hood over his eyes, he whispered, "Mother, guide me by the right hand." He gently settled his palm on the doorknob and gave it a slight twist before opening it and stepping into the light. He couldn't exactly make out who was fighting who, but if that girl was part of it, then this fight was not probably balanced. Whispering, "Oh, man. What am I getting myself into?" he pulled his hood back for the first time in public and looked around. His attention back to the girl, he noticed for the first time that she was weilding two weapons. Weapons? Fans? Xar seemed a little confused by her choice of weaponry. For this was the first time he actually seen weapons other than the sword and staff his people kept guard with. Sighing, heart pacing with the nervous approach of adrenaline, he called out to the girl, "Hey!"

Lena looked up, startled. She didn't want to hurt anyone, the wind people were her allies, not enemies. It was her damned eye color. She threw herself at another using her fans to take on his saber. She did small motions making his swing hard. Then twisted underneath him and grabbed the hilt. She twisted. He screamed and droppe dhis sword, his hand bent at a distorted angle. "Sorry" she said. She felt someone grab her from behind she twisted around in wind like motions and grabbed him twisting his arm up and popping it out of his socket. "I'm from Viente, see I wind shift!" she shouted, but no one cared at this point. They just wanted her dead. She tried to get enough clearing to shift the wind enough so that she could take flight. Shadowfall pecked at the heads and somtimes eyes of the enemies trying to help. Finalyl she launched herself into the air with a powerful thrust. Lena openend her fan, but someone had a fishing net that they threw over her. "Hey!" she shouted adn seh fell to the ground. Hundreds of hands grabbed her and pulled her down into the angry mob that had formed. She felt a knife go into her left arm and she screamed out. She was immoble, held down by all the hands, unable to shift her element to free herself. "See look at her evil eyes!" ... "She's one of the fire clan!" .... "Kill her!" was the last thing she heard before losing consciensous....

Anger radiated throughout his veins. This was absurd! "Hey! Stop this!" The crowd huddled around the girl. He had watched it all. It appalled him to see people behave in such a barbaric manner. "Have you people lost your minds! Why do you treat this lady in such a manner?" Two elderly women turned to look at Xar, "She is a Viclan." they tuned in unison. He peeked between the swarm of vengeful townsfolk. "Viclan? She does not look like a descendant of the fire clan." Regretting what he was about to do, he pushed through the crowd to the center of attention. A beautiful woman caught by a fishing net laid in front of him. Quickly, he looked around at the faces hovering about. "Let her go!" A mammoth of a man turned to Xar, "Are you willing to defend this mongrel, lad?" Xar hesitated, "I am." The glare in the man's eye told him all he needed to know. He was next on that man's list. Pushing his hand into his bag, he popped the cork out of the bottle of water he stashed inside. Please, let this work! Stubby fingers pointed at Xar, "He aids the Viclan!" That was his que. Xar pulled at the water, his fingers working in a motion he seen an old man using. A tiny drop hit his palm. Thank you! Rubbing his index finger into the drop, he spread it across his palm. The cool breeze brushed against it sending goosebumps up his arm. It's now or never... Feeling for the moisture in the air, he pulled it into his wet hand. A drop of water dripped from his finger. Lunging towards the man, he felt the cold twinge of ice as it razored across the man's face. As he made his way around the mammoth, the man caught a grip on Xar's hood and pulled back on him. Xar went flying to the ground landing next to the girl. Looking up, he noticed blood welling up on the man's cheek.
((Sorry for the long post... -_-))

(it's fine!)
Lena lightly groaned. Peering through slitted eyes she saw a boy defending her. Why? she thought. She saw him fall. In a rush of adrinline she was up on her feet, staff in hand throwing off the net. There was too many people. Even with her element, she and this strange boy couldn't get away. There was just enough room... she lept forwardand grabbed the boy by the waist and with a swift movement from her hand she propelled herself and the boy into the air. She soared straight up only about 20 feet. If she had both hands that could've doubled, but she had extra weight. She opened her staff and let it catch the breeze turning into a glider. She sailed away, far away from these Vlican-hating maniacs.

Getting a safe distance away she landed in a small shaded clearing. She layed the boy down. He seemed about her age, unconsious, but breathing regularly (sry). He'd be fine. Lena then felt searing pain in her arm. The adrinline wearing off and the pain returning. She looked around for some water to clean it with, her shirt was also stained red. Tieing it up would have to do. The shirt she was wearing was ruined anyway, so she ripped a strip off the bottom and wrapped it tightly around her arm. She leaned back against the tree, tired from the recent event and from lack of sleep in general. UGH! She saw Shadowfall hunting in the distance, not bothering to see what she was looking at, sat down to rest.

Groaning slightly, his back soar from the plunge that mammoth sent him in. Xar opened his eyes and looked around. Expecting to be rushed by an angry mob, he was startled to not see them. The trees whispered around him calming his racing heart down. "Wh-What happened?" Glancing around, he saw the girl leaning up against a tree. He couldn't tell if she was asleep or just laying there. She was hurt. There was a make-shift bandage tied up around her arm. Reaching for his bag, he failed to find it. Frantically shuffling around, he searched the ground for it. "Where's my bag?" Having not seen it, he repeated himself, not really to be heard. "Where's my bag?" His food was in that bag. The vial was in that bag. Everything he brought with him was in that bag. Standing up, he continued to look around. A glimse of his robe caught his eye. Dirt stains littered the cloth, as well as blood stains in one spot. He could only guess that is where the girl carried him here. Sighing, he stripped off the robe. He looked back at the girl. She must possess a considerable amount of strength. Weighing near two hundred pounds made of nothing but muscle, he knew that he wasn't an easy load. To be 18, he was well built. He was a farmer's son. His father lost his ability to work in the fields when Xar was merely 10. Ever since, Xar has been lifting heavy objects and periodically excercising to keep fit so that he may keep his father's farm running himself. The robe concealed his ripped arms and tone legs most of the time. He looked up at the tree tops and grunted. Once again, he was out in the wilderness. But this time, he had company -- for now at least. He anticipated what would come of this meet. ((Gah...long again....bloody habit is what it is. ))

(actually for me, that's perfect. Not long at all If you way it's long then I guess I write long as well...) Lena hear the boy get up, but pretended to sleep. She peered through slitted eyes watching and listening. She heard him swearing. She gave herself a secret smile. Then stood up. Her entire body ached and stiff. The boy was still searching. She took out her fans and silently "pushed" herself up into the tree (she used wind shifting). Sitting cross-legged she looked down. "Looking for somthing?" she asked, a smile on her lips. He nodded looking a little bewildered. "Where's my bag?" "Oh well you had dropped it and things spilled out, but I managed to get some stuff by windshifting. Mostly the food fell out, but we can get some more later." Lena leaned backwards and swong down like a gymnast and landed inhumanly soft on the ground. She stood straight and smiled.
