Kyana took off her shoes and outer clothes like her cloak and tied up her hair. Standing she jumped (abnormally high--->> windshifting) into the air doing a flip and landing in the water with a splash. Laughing she stood up waist height. The water was refreshingly cool. "Okay, so I'll start in your element..." She said with a laugh. "First it seems that you're too rigid; relax. There you go. Now water, like air is fluid, plyable. You want to be like the water and air, adaptlbe to what is around you and movable like a liquid." Xar nodded copying her stance. Lena took a breath. "Now what I tend to do is focus on what I want to happen to the wind, in this case, the water. There small simple moves to make thing happen. First one... When I want to create a huge gust of wind I do this." lena pushed her hands forward and a huge gust of wind blew out across the water. "Now you try, but focus on the water..."

Nodding, Xar concentrated on the water. "Okay, I'll just go for making a wave right now." Relaxed, he moved his hands in front of him and visualized the current swelling beneath moving towards the shore. A small wave ran along the surface of the water towards the shore. Okay, that was a beginning, but he was aiming for something a little bigger. Dropping his hands, he looked at Lena. "One more time. That wasn't just what I was hoping for." She nodded. Concentrate! Closing his eyes, he saw the image play in the back of his mind. This time, he wanted a little bit bigger wave. Picturing the current swelling up a little bit more, he pushed his hands in front of him. Opening his eyes, he pushed the current faster. He saw the wave moving towards the shore. It rose about a foot out of the surface of the water. Now that is what I was aiming for.

Xar turned to Lena. She was smiling. "Great job! I wasn't sure if this would actually work, but it does. I'm guesing since wind and water are so close that the movements and the technical stuff aren't too far apart!..." Lena thought for a moment before speaking again (more to herself than to Xar. "the winds and water both have currents, movements, fludid movements. They both bend..." Lena looked up at Xar. "Okay, lets keep going, if you want. We could work on the movements. For flowing elements like ours, it's all in the movement, unlike the earth and fire. Their's is more about stance and power than anything else..."

Xar nodded. My luck just improved... He thought he would spend longer than this searching for a teacher. He never would have guessed he would be learning how to use his talent from a wind shifter that was close to his age. Breathing rather excitedly, he smiled at Lena, "So, what do I need to do now?"

Lena took a deep breath, it came out in a woosh. "Okay. So far this has worked, but I'm only going off of what I know from my element. Now, since you're still learning, it's actually easier to just bend the element rather than force it to do somthing else. Feel the currents, make a new direction for them to flow. Try to then push them in that direction. Use the movement of your arms and hands. I like doing this, because what I acomplish is always more powerful then what I do when I force the wind to move unnaturally." Lena made slow movements with her arms. The water rippled with small whitecaps as the change and strength of the winds wipping across the water.

Xar nodded and looked to the water. Lena shifted the winds to move across the water. Now, he had to figure out what he wanted to do. She said to shift the currents to move the way he wanted them to. Taking in a deep breathe, he closed his eyes and connected with a current beneath the water. Feeling the direction it was moving in, he slowly moved his arms as Lena did. He could feel the current shifting as he bent it. Focusing on changing its direction and bringing it to the surface, he kept up the motion. Opening his eyes, he saw waves moving violently along the current. He smiled and dropped his hands. The waves came to a calm as he settled his arms by his side. Turning to Lena, he grinned, "How was that?"

Lena grinned back. "Excellent!" She said. "Wow, you're a fast learner!" Xar grinned, his mouth opening from ear to ear. They practiced for another hour before Lena finally stopped complaining that she had lost feeling in her feet. "Hey, you can practice more, but then come out and dry off. It's going to get cold tonight and I want enough wood for a good fire..." she said.

Xar was starting to get a little tired, but he didn't want to stop just yet. So, he nodded to Lena and turned his back to the shore. Looking out over the entire lake, he contemplated what he was going to do now. Might as well cover what we been practicing for the last hour. Moving his body in a motion that reminded him of the ocean tide, he pushed and pulled the water, changing the direction of the current to raise the water level of the lake. He could feel the thin skin of the water moving up his waist. He grinned and continued lowering and raising the level of the water. About thirty minutes later, he decided to give it a rest for today. Turned to get out of the water, he could see that Lena already had a small pile of fire wood ready for the night. This is going to be one very interesting adventure. Walking up on the shore, he thought for a moment then looked at his wet breeches. This is going to be one to write home about Expanding his mind to connect with every drop of water on him, he moved his hands up and quickly brought them down. Water rained from his skin, but his breeches were still wet. Sighing, he smirked, "It was a try." Looking up to Lena, he smiled and walked up to her, "How about I finish gathering the wood for tonight?"

"Sure. I'll start the fire." She said. Xar set off to go get more wood as lena started to arrange the wood into an acceptable pile. She knew that it needed to breathe and wanted a large enough fire to keep out the chill around their campsite. She went to her sack and grabed a peice of flint and a small block of steel. Leaning over some dry placed brush she struck them. A spark but no flare. Lena make a quick motion, deadening the winds for a breif period of time then struck again. Nothing. She did this over and over, but still nothing. Swearing she threw the striker down. Suddenly high flames lept up in the wood, immeditally burning them. Lena lept back in fright. There was no spark that had caught the tinder. She'd have known that. Curiosity got to her. She reached out with a hand into the flames. The flames backed away out, not touching or licking at her skin. She pulled her hand away looking it over. She could feel the heat but there was no pain. She readied her bags and the rest of hte gear. Shaken though she was they still needed food. She called to Shadowfall and they went off into the woods.

Looking around the already darkening forest, Xar felt a bit creeped out by the looming presence of the trees. He already had an arm full of dry timber, but he continued to look around for maybe a little bit more. Glancing around, he started to think maybe this was enough. He didn't care to be out here on his own, especially when he had nothing to defend himself. Turning, he headed back to the campsite. Seeing the light ahead, he smiled as he figured Lena had already got a fire going. He stumbled out of the brush into the clearing and spotted the fire. Lena was no where to be seen. Settling the wood down about ten feet away from the fire, he looked around to see if he could spot her.

Lena (an hour later) came into camp with some collect food and a rabbit. She skillfully skined the creature and put it over the fire. She handed him some of hte nuts and berries she'd found. She'd been lucky enough to come across some great tea leaves that her mother had taught her to get. She boiled a small pot of water as well. Watching the flames, she was unusally silent, staring at the twisting fire with a far off stare. The only sound that could be heard was the crackling of the wood.

(hope I'm not to late:P)
( my name is Marten Vulcan, I'm a fire Master. Along my tribe they call me "The Magma", I'm happy that with the name they try to honor me. once, years ago, I've saved my tribe from a vulcano which was setting to distroy our village. A lot of Fire masters tried to keep the magma in the vulcano and save the village, half of them died. back then I was only a young boy when my father took me on the mountain to show me the magma, after he was killed I asked the mountain to stop. the only thing I did was holding my hand above the lava and said stop, the next moment the lava had stopped coming up and the danger was gone. I've Blond hair and bleu eyes just like my dad, and a slender body. I'm not very atlethic because I trust my fire. I hate to say this but I don't like girls that much because they laugh as I pass by, that happens all the time even with girls I already know, but none of them dares to come to me. mostly I wear short clothes, I feel free in it. I always wear a short pants and a short shirt. one of the thing I proud of is my had, My dad gave it to me, the had is brown and can hold my hair on one place, it is made of the best wool of my tribe and it's so warm.... I love bird they are so free and calm, that's one reason why I hate it being a Fire master and wished I was a master of the sky, Fire kills people and isn't easy to get hand of, it burn and is a weapon of distruction. but it's my element, just need to live with it. I few weeks ago on my 20 birthday I decided to travel for a while.
