There’s this place called Ara. There are four realms and each realm focuses mainly on one of the four elements. The realms are connected by gates. And each depends on the other. There’s wind, water, earth fire. The wind realm is known as Viente the water Farsea; the earth Raloka; and the fire Viclan. Most people in each realm can control the element; some are more skilled than others, but most can do little with their tallents. The realms have been divided by war and hate for hundreds of years and there’s much hatred between the people. The balance in both the human world and in the elemental is at the brink of collapsing into chaos. Now there’s someone who wants to destroy the portals and gates that link the elemental realms together, but if that were to ever happen Ara itself would be destroyed. Weird things are already starting to happen. A few people find out about this (that’s us) and they have to stop it. No one else will listen.
Try to spread yourselves out venly among the elements:
Note: There's physical differences in the people of each realm: The eye color of the Fire people-shades of gold, brown, red, auburn, chesnut...ect. The eye color for the Wind people-shades of blue, grey, navy...ect. The eye color of the Water people- shades of blues only The eye color of the Earth people-shades of browns and greens
Hair varries: Usually the water and the wind people have darker blacker hair than the fire people. The fire and earth people have shades of browns for their hair to dark blonde.

I’m going to be Alena or Lena for short. I'm 15 years of age. I’m from the wind realm: Viente. I have a rare talent among my people: I have a special bond with birds. I have a peregrine falcon named Shadowfall. I can see what she sees (talk about bird’s eye view). I also wear a pure black flight feather of a falcon in my hair (it can never fall out unless I take it out). I don't know exactly what I can use if for, but my mother gave it to me, so I cherish it with all my heart, I do believe that it does have some magical properties though. I have a wind staff. It's like a heavy black stick with beatiful carvings on it for fighting, but also a glider. For when I shift the winds, it opens and I can glide on it. We usualally don't use animals as beatst of burden, only the wind for travel. I have raven black hair and golden eyes. I could be killed for that though, since no one's ever been to have golden eyes from the wind realm. That's only known among the earth and fire realms, mostly the fire though. Blues and greys are known only to be had among my people and the water people. We are nuetral with the water people and since water can naturally put out fire they sometimes are our allies. The only reason I wasn't killed at birth for my golden eyes was because my parents defended me, but they are now dead. They dyed in a Viclan (fire) attack (So I really hate the Viclan). I've also become a skilled wind shifter, so my tallent proves me of the Viente. My wepons are bladed fans and a wind stave though I'm learning how to throw blades. Anything that flys, arrows, blades are usually of my people, since we are of the wind and can effect almsot anything in the skies...

Ok, I'm Releane (Rel for short) Liani and I'm from the fire realm. I'm only 14, but I have almost mastered the element fire. I live with my bother, Sirven a little farther out from the town Klinke, where I was born. I can do much with my power, but I am not yet aware that I can do most things with fire; I have yet to know that I have more potential then any other fire controlling warrior in my realm. I can shot fire out of my hands, fly with fire (wierd, I know, but you will understand shortly), and other things that have yet to be described. I also have a fox named Hinar, that is suprisingly a crystal white color with a single red/orange stripe running through it's back. I am medium height with light brown hair and stunning, shimering golden eyes.

Nice to meet you. I am Seda, aged 13. I am from the Raloka, the realm of Earth. My name, as explained by my grandma, means Spirit of the Forest. My name suits me very well as I have mastered the basics of the element Earth. I am connected to all the animals that run, or swim, or fly, but I have more power over those bound to the earth, those with four legs, or none at all (in the case of snakes).
I look different. I have long black hair that has to be tied up into one plait. It is very thick and heavy, and would only be messed up if I let it down, so I rarely do. I look Asian when I plait it. I also have black eyes, a very uncommon feature. I don’t know why; perhaps it has something to do with my heritage. My grandma says that we came from another place, and that’s why I look different. I have no friends and I don’t go to school with others. Instead, my grandma teaches me.
You must wonder why I never talk about my parents. I do not like to. They died in an accident a few years ago. Only I and my grandma survived the earthquake. We had almost no money, and we had to build another house. We lived far away from others. My best friends are animals and plants. I can talk with animals and plants. I know it sounds strange to chat with a rose, but it is actually very easy. You just need to be alone and peaceful, like me.
One of my best friends is a she-wolf whom I call Artaxiad. It’s pronounced Ar-tah-zy-yad. She is young, like me. I normally call her Arta. Artaxiad is my grandma’s grandmother’s name. My other best friend is a snake called Jokuul. He’s actually quite friendly, despite his appearance. He is always there if I am lonely or sad.
I have been picked on for my appearance many times, so I’ve learnt to defend myself with weapons. Even though I can fight with the traditional martial arts my father once taught me, I prefer to just call up the helpful plants. The roses are the most violent. They stick their thorns into wherever they can! I like watching those boys yell in pain and fear when my plant friends just shoot up out of the ground, but I will never severely hurt them. I don’t know how to control my strength with martial arts, so I have to use my power if I don’t want to accidentally kill them.
I usually dress in white robes tied with a black belt around my middle with a white shirt and white breeches underneath. My shoes are the Asian kind, those you wear to practice martial arts. I hate laced-up shoes. I tied my plait with a silver-edged black ribbon that is nearly in tatters. It is very long, since my mother once weaved it in her own hair. I tie my mother’s jade ring on the ribbon as my ring finger is too small. Yes, that’s about all. Oh, a little note: I can call on Artaxiad and Jokuul if you really anger me. And when they decide to be protective, you had better not come within a three-metre radius.

Lena perched on a branch looking over Nausica (took this from a movie, but it's just the name) which meant Valley of the Wind. Stradaling the branch and leaning back on the trunk of the tree she proceded with her napping, closing her eyes and listening to the wind. But somthing was about and she just had this weird feeling of unrest. Tired from not having had a wink of sleep for three days, she tried to make rest an effort, to no avail.
Lena looked at her falcon, Shadowfall. "Go" she said. Shadowfall took flight with a screech and sailel out over the trees. Lena layed back and closed her eyes, and opening her mind to the view of her falcon...

((Okie dokie. Here's my bio.))
In the land of Farsea, I roamed free. I am Xarzith, or Xar for short. My name means ice in a forgotten language my kinfolk no longer know. A village long forgotten in the northern reaches of Farsea is where I was raised. Born during a powerful blizzard, my name originated from the horrific ice that threatened my mother's life. It was the ice that did indeed take her life. My father raised me as his only heir to his land, and being that he had no abilities, I do not know of mine just yet. My mother was, however, a powerful water master. It was her pain during the birthing hours that called forth the blizzard. My powers are great, and unique among my people, but I must learn to control them myself as I begin to discover they exist.
The question of my appearance is raised at many encounters as I always keep my face concealed under a hood. To be 18, I have quite a bit of white hair, but that I was born with. My family considers it a remembrance of my mother, as does the rest of the village. My eyes are the quiet blue of my people. My face is not etched with the rigid curves of my father's. Grandmother says I look like my mother -- gentle skin on rounded cheeks and soft features to top it off. I am the remains of an angel. When not in my own home, I am wearing the ceremonial robe of our shamans (a white robe with silver runes seamed into the hems of the sleeves and collar). In this robe, I will leave home to wander the lands of Ara in search of a teacher (as goes my current ‘master’ plan).

[^^ Okies, I'll go next!]
Releane Liani stood at the mossed hill below her as she watched the sun set. Her auburn hair shimmered as it blew to the side of her during a slight, cool breeze. Her golen eyes reflected the redish gleam of the sun, and the glowing halo of the moon that has just started to rise. Night was approaching, but Releane, was not yet ready for sleep. As usuall, her mind raced of images found in her forgotten dreams and wonders. "Hinar!" She said in a harsh wisper. Her head turned now to a cottage down below her, a run-down shack big enough for three. Even though there was no hot water, no working sink, and no air on the sizzleing summer nights, Rel called it home. A small little crystal glow was seen beside the cottage. Rel looked straight at the figure and smiled a bit, leaning her head in torwards the darkness. "Hinar! This is no time for games! Come!" She wispered once more. And this time, the little white fox trotted up the hill and sat before her, his eyes looking innocent and his mouth watering. She was also hungry. "Quite, Hinar. Let's go." And she said no more. She jumped off the hill and landed facing the light of the sun, which was now dissapearing. Hinar followed her and the two of them rushed to the darkened forest ahead.

Lena saw it as Shadowfall did. Shadowfall schreeched a warning and darted back to Lena. Lena was already up and falling out of the tree. She landed softly on the mossy earth. "Damn it!" she hissed. The Things were here. They were once people, once upon a time. She grabbed her glider and threw a gust of wind to carry her into the sky. There she opened it and soared into the air. She flew on course. She had an uneasy feeling about her, but she had to get to them before they vanished.

Hinar and Rel soon dissapeared into the darkness of night. They had crossed the valley with ease and now scurried to the forest. Inside the mossy green there was as much darkness as the night sky, if not darker. The trees were all damp, each branch missing at least one or two leaves that traveled to the ground, which was soft and muddy. Rel cursed under her breath. She wouldn't have come out tonight if she had known it would be this humid. But Rel tried to ignore it as she ran forward into the center of the forest. She was on the hunt, and she needed to get food on the table. For her and her brother; they haven't eaten in quite some time. Rel planned to get a nice, big, juicy, buck. And even though Rel thought she heard a noice coming from the wood behind her, she ignored it and let the hunger take over as she once again dissapeared past the trees, with Hinar close behind.

Xarzith stared up at the stars as they started to come out from behind their veils of darkness. They danced among each other as he stared down at his village. From atop the cliff, his village looked so small. "I guess it would seem so in a world so big." It scared him that he would have to search this world to find a teacher. Turning to the forest, Xar inhaled a deep breathe and started down the trail into the lush emeralds of the woods. There was no telling where he would end up. No one in his village have told him where this trail leads to, but he knows it has to end somewhere.

It was a few minuets to midnight now. And Rel was just where she wanted to be. Right in the heart of the forest, hiding behind a tree, keeping up her guard for anything, searching for the beast of night. Hinar stood beside her, his ears perked up as he listened for any noice that he could hear. And then the buck showed up and walked gracefully into the clearing. It was quite a magestic animal at night, with it's head held up high and it's auburn fur shimmering in the moonlight. Just looking at it made Rel's mouth water. She gave Hinar a look and then slowly reached down to her side for a nife...

If I AM allowed to post now:
Seda was enjoying the starlight. It was calm and peaceful under the stars tonight. Thousands of sparkling diamonds lighted up the sky, flickering like flames, yet emitting a strong glow. She stretched back and sighed. How joyful it was to relax under the sky after a long day of tiring work!
A soft pattering brought her hand to the small blade she had hidden near her waist. It was one of the knives they used to cut fruit and small pieces of food; not at all useful for fighting, but it was just a quick protective measure in case Artaxiad and Jokuul were absent, and her power was dwindling. Her arm relaxed after a second as a silver figure emerged from behind a clump of bushes. The pale wolf nuzzled her friend, and Seda grinned. Pushing herself up, she ruffled Arta's fur. "Come now, you lazy pup. Where were you just now?"
Arta growled her response, clearly annoyed by Seda's nickname. "Hunting, if you have to know. Why must you follow my every move like my own tail?"
Seda rolled her eyes and stood up. "We'll have to get some herbs for Grandma. Are you coming along, or are you going to get Jokuul?" The silver wolfess shook out her long mane and followed the girl silently.
In a few moments, they had made it to the heart of the forest. Large clusters of brightly-coloured flowers grew thickly here. Seda bent down and started picking them. These were used to treat injuries; from nasty gashes to harmless scrapes. The black-haired girl pulled up the stalks tenderly, taking care not to hurt the valuable bulbs.
Suddenly, Artaxiad growled, a deep-throated rumble that she used to scare off intruders. Seda nearly dropped her gatherings and straightened up. Taking a defensive stance, she edged closer to Arta and fined-tuned her senses. Something, or someone, was near...

And once we get started use ( ) around what ever you want to say that's not in the role play... like chat speak. Or better, try to refrain for useing chat here at all, once we get moving...

Lena saw thoes things. She needed to get to them before they left through the Fifth Gate into Ralokal, the Earth realm. She shifted the winds harder to make her faster. Then sudenly she closed her staff and dived. She use the wind to ease her way through teh trees and onto thr ground. They were here shoudl coudl tell, but seeing them was another thing entirely. She knelt down, looking through her hair. She wouldn't be able to find them tonight, but she could make contact. She took a neclkace out of her pocket and layed if infront of her. It was a black stone inlade in sliver tied with black thread. lena then stood and jumped into the sky, tears clouding her vision. She had to get her sister back. Had to. She could've saved her, but she failed. She clenched her fists tighter around her staff/glider and went out into the setting sun. Night was coming as we the chill. She'd have to get back to her home.

Xar had only walked a short distance, and he was already tired. Exhaustion raced through his veins as he headed over to a small clearing just off of the trail. Sitting down, he leaned back against a tree. The rough bark dragged against his robe as he positioned himself comfortably. A quiet breeze russled the leaves and he looked up to watch them dance. His hood dropped back, revealing his shoulder length hair. The wind stirred the white strands that hung loose from the rest. Pulling the bag that hung from his shoulder and across his torso, he opened the tap flap and peered in. In it was small portions of bread that he took from the kitchen. It was all he could afford to take without leaving his dad with nothing else to eat. There were other things in the bag as well. He reached into his bag and pulled out one of those small items. It was a small vial only a hand's breadth tall. It was painted the color of the water when the sunset hits it. His grandmother prized this vial. It was his mother's before she met Xar's father. Pulling the cork out, he stood it up in front of him. Consetrating, he sensed for the water in the bottle. There it was, a little piece of quiet from the water's of his village. Holding his hand out, he called to the water. He could feel the water rippling inside the bottle as small droplets rose out of the bottle and fell back into it. Annoyed at his failure he leaned his head back up against the tree and dropped his hand. Looking up at the tree's canopy, he noticed that the wind had stopped stirring. Looking around through the thick underbrush of the forest, everything was still in the woods, and quiet. He stood and walked back to the trail. He didn't like it being so quiet. A rustle echoed from a little further up the trail. Pulling his hood back up over his face, he awaited his fate.

Just one strike was enough for the buck. Rel found it quite easy to sneak up on it and thrash the nife directly at the heart of the beastly creature. A smile crossed her face as soon as she heard it fall to the ground. Rel's heart continued to pound, however, but she didn't mind. It was the thrill, always the thrill that sent her heart beat soaring. She picked up the buck with a little struggle, but she could handle it. Even though the buck was quite a few pounds heavier than she, and deffinetly bigger in size, Rel was strong, and did her best to aviod dragging it on the soft, muddy ground below her. But she knew she had to hurry, for the sun was rising soon. And her brother would soon awake to find her apsent, once again. Rel hoped that her brother would be proud of her; She wanted so much to make him happy like long ago... Hinar walked along side her as they scurried to the forest exit. Now the hunger that Rel felt made her even more light-headed, so she had to hurry.

A rabbit hopped out of the undergrowth onto the trail. Xar's heart leaped out of his skin. He wasn't expecting a rabbit. There should have been something bigger, scarier. He eyed the rodent for a moment then headed in its direction. The sudden motion sent the rabbit away, but Xar could still see it hopping along through the forest. "Ah well, 'nother day fer ye." Looking to the night sky, he searched for sign of light from town that might be close by. Unfortunately, there was not but the stars. "Back to an endless walk." And like he said, he continued walking.

It wasn't until dawn that Rel made it back to the little cottage down by the hill. She still trailed along, carrying the buck, which was now almost finished leaving a trail of blood that led up from the forest to the shack. She stopped before entering through the broken wood door and listened for any movement inside. There was nothing. Grinning to herself, she slipped inside the cottage and set the buck down on the floor of the kitchen, or what was left of it. The cottage itself was only a few square feet wide, not to mention it only had 1 floor. There were 4 rooms only; A kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom. And although the kitchen was big, it wasn't big enough for the buck. The magestic animal took up more than half of the space on the floor, and to get around it, Rel had to leap with a good amount of strength. "Now don't you touch anything, Hinar!" She wispered, a bit playfully. "I'll be right back." She smiled at Hinar, knowing that he couldn't say anything back, or probably not even understand her, and then she walked past what was left of the floor to get to her brothers room.
